Interesting. Do you change styles for every piece? Each of them look so different!

i like to try new styles for each piece, just to kind of figure out which one i'm more comfortable with. but when i do commissions, it's usually something like the mutant draik in my gallery. i like that style, and i've been mostly doing that for some time.

yes, i use a wacom intuos 4.
and i'm also working on a ref. sheet for an osprey character, which somewhat resembles the one i just drew.

Wow. Those are... great. I could spend hours trying to make something half that good. The Latios is my favorite. I noticed that you seem to use several different styles. Was that just gradually evolving into your current style, or do you just like variation?

with the latios, i was actually trying my best to ref. off the official artwork for it, but in the end kinda abused shinyness ;-;
but for the hydreigon, samurott and togekiss, i did little chibi's like that just for my friends. if you want, i can do requests for those, they take like 10 minutes to make c:
and the typhlosion, i really like speedpainting things. like how purplekecleon does it on dA, i just love how she does things in her art and wanted to try and do things like in the one tutorial she made, and i'm mainly focusing on that for now since its relaxing for me.
continuing on blabbing about style, i honestly don't know what kind of style i want to go for. i used to be obsessed with going for some kind of realistic style, but it pretty much hurt my art more because i would blow my brains out for not being able to get something right. realizing that really, no one is perfect, and i'm not an acceptation, i loosened up a bit on my art and tried to look at it a different way and now i'm starting to like it more.

sorry for that giant wall of text, i honestly didn't expect it. it's just kinda frustrating for me sometimes, and starting highschool right now is stressing me more. ugh.

eh, i just kinda wanted a little doodle blog. but i was actually thinking of just posting these in a little dump on dA from time to time.

i will try to D: this semester isn't as harsh as the last one, so i might be on a bit more.
i wanted to try something kinda serious, and i wanted to draw something besides felines/canines so i drew a bat. with some weird light stuff around it.
