I went to see it a little bit back with a bunch of friends.
It was pretty great! It's like the Goonies, except if it were made today. It's a little more serious and everyone has more issues, but the sense of kid adventure is still really strong.
There were 3 four-star (according to newspaper reviews movies that came out recently, X-Men: First Class, Super 8 and Tree of Life. I haven't seen Tree of Life, but I can vouch for the other two. X-Men, though not perfect, is a nice serious character development story centred mostly on how relationships influenced characters into their well-known current stances. Super 8 has about a million themes, most of which are pulled off successfully (and one moment where the entire audience actually roared in laughter involving a hippie and the kids in a car).
