What CAN be revamped:
- Movesets (TMs and levelsets) - For TMs, please post the existing list even if you're making no changes, it makes my job much easier.
- Abilities
- Egg Moves (POST WITH FATHERS, PLEASE)

What CANNOT be revamped:
- Base stats

We're doing Duskull -> Dusclops in this topic.

Gen 3 info:

http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-rs/355.shtml

Aaaaand here's my first attempt at a levelset:

Tentative TM List?

TM04 Calm Mind
TM06 Toxic
TM10 Hidden Power
TM11 Sunny Day
TM12 Taunt
TM14 Blizzard
TM17 Protect
TM18 Rain Dance
TM21 Frustration
TM27 Return
TM29 Psychic
TM30 Shadow Ball
TM32 Double Team
TM41 Torment
TM42 Facade
TM43 Secret Power
TM44 Rest
TM45 Attract
TM46 Thief
TM48 Skill Swap

TM59 Soul Burn
TM61 Umbrage
TM71 Statronome (?)
TM72 Initiative (?)
TM78 Substitute (?)
TM79 Rocket Punch
TM80 Orion's Sword
HM05 Flash

I had no idea what Statronome or Initiative did, But I thought they might be useful.

Also, should Curse and Soul Burn/Shadow Punch really be that close together? I mean, I know its the evolution point, but I still think Curse is too close. Maybe change its level to 33?

Move/Duskull/Dusclops

I'm sorry, I have a tendency to edit my posts frequently, not wanting to double post too much. Unfortunately, my edits go unnoticed so, I'll just wait next time.

Zigzag should compatible every Pokémon, IIRC. Also, Nightfall might be appropriate for Ghost-types.

As for Egg moves confirmation...

Destiny Bond (Koffing line)
Pain Split (Misdreavus)
Grudge (Misdeavus)
Memento (Grimer line, Koffing line)

Imprison and Faint Attack cannot be used unless there are Topaz Pokémon in the Indeterminate egg group that can learn them. Only the Ralts and Shuppet lines can learn Imprison and Faint Attack respectively through level-up, and neither are listed in the Topaz Dex.

Substitute, Initiative and Endure are on every Pokemon, so those are definite yesses. Focus Sight might also be on nearly every Pokemon, I don't remember and if someone could check, that'd be great.

Yes to Nightfall, no to Statronome IMO. I actually don't really like Statronome as a concept so maybe I'm biased, but I prefer it to be on Pokemon who would otherwise be unexciting, and Dusclops has a lot of cool things going for it.

NyteFyre

The yeses are understandable, I guess. I still don't know what Statronome does, though, so i'm a little lost as to why no on it.

Noog

It basically raises a random stat by one or two levels randomly. Considering the description of the move ("A mystical finger wags in the air, randomly raising or lowering a stat one or two levels."), and the fact that Dusclops and Duskull can earn Metronome by tutor in FRLG, I think it should be added to their movepools.

Are we going to make the rule for Statronome be "it goes on whatever has Metronome?" I'd like to hear your opinions.

We could make Statronome an Egg Move and not put it on the TM list.

And I'm not sure about changing the abilities altogether, Nyte. Levitate stays on Duskull obv, but I'd also like to keep Pressure on Dusclops. We could add one ability, but the canon one should probably stay.

NyteFyre
09-26-11, 09:51 PM
Oh, my bad, didn't see that Dusclops lost Levitate for Pressure. Hehe~ -sweatdrop-

ImmunityBow

Pressure is indeed a cool ability on Dusclops. I don't quite see Night Vision or Empty Head on it, either.

NyteFyre
09-27-11, 07:28 PM
Empty Head, I was going for, since they're Ghosts, which don't really have much of a head, thereby being empty head? OR maybe just a lack of emotion, sicne empty head prevents things like attraction, confusion (how do you confuse a ghost anyway?). etc...hehe~ -sweatdrop again-

And Night vision because Dusclops are ghosts, which are native to the night, so it seemed fitting. As for Duskull, It has a fire behind it's 'eyes', so I figured that would work for him as well

Other than maybe Eclipse or Confound, None of the other Topaz abilities appear to flow with Dusclops' style, imho.

ImmunityBow
09-28-11, 06:07 AM
I don't think it's necessary to give Dusclops a Topaz ability, since it none of the underrepresented abilities really fit him, and the abilities that do have been plastered on a fair amount of Pokemon.

(Remember, in the end it's up to SilentSentinel what gets finalized.)

Honestly, I feel like Pressure is fine.

Still looking for opinions on Stratronome as a possible Egg Move, adding other egg moves, etc.

NyteFyre
09-28-11, 06:24 PM
ok, so only Pressure then. ok, I can live with that.

As far as I can see, the egg moves are fine, and Statronome as an egg move is plausible.

ImmunityBow
09-29-11, 05:17 AM
I personally don't think Statronome fits at all, though I also don't think that Metronome fits, so I guess all I can do is wait to see if anyone agrees with that assertion.

SilentSentinel
09-30-11, 02:37 PM
I'm certainly not in love with the idea. If not, we could use a different new egg move.

SilentSentinel
11-01-11, 10:40 PM
...Kay.

What if we took Curse off the levelset and turned it into an egg move? That would help space out stuff a bit.

NyteFyre
11-02-11, 12:34 AM
That could work, and take the place of Statronome as an egg move, giving it a nice egg move pool, without particularly unnecessary moves.

Sure, sounds good.
