I've got this friend of mine (artist name is HavocWraith) and I asked about concept art. She said she would do a couple, so I got these so far. A couple more commin soon.

Ingero looks freaking AMAZING! Totally what we were looking for, a dynamic pose, great colours, smooth lineart. It's not in Sugimori style but I love it to pieces! Havocwraith is very talented!

Echoise is cool too. It looks perhaps slightly too mature (that expression is suited a bit more for Mermeidon), but it looks pretty cute and it's a nice style.

K, So I'm not doing something right with the posting picture thing....

You have to link to the picture file directly, not the deviant page it is on. Most browsers (Chrome, Firefox - not sure about IE) will let you right click on the picture and "copy URL". That URL is what you need to post instead of the deviantart page.

As for Traplent, I like it and it's a new take on the style.

If your browser isn't letting you right-click and find URL, then there are a few things you can do:

1. Try dragging the image itself to the address bar, and use that address itself.
2. Upload to deviantart for your own purposes and to imageshack.us for sharing purposes. imageshack.us should have a direct link that you can just use.

Venap is nice and cute, Traplent looks a little too mammal-like rather than plant-like it would seem. It's still pretty good though.

And could you work backwards in the Pokedex instead? It would be so groovy to have art for all the legendaries. I'd think that they would be more fun to do too.

well not everyone has to follow a specific art style...
mines not the same as other peoples styles either though it's kinda hard to determine since I tend to draw different things according to what I want to use it for.

but I really do like the pictures so far...

nope! I'm a senior.
Also I took a major step back from art for a while. I get to the point were all I see are my mistakes because I get so bogged down. but as soon as school is done I've got a few months before I have to get a job to complete the topaz pokede, and mod if I make it. I'll still have time when i get a job though...I'm only going to go part time.
