Returning Pokemon Sprites Voting Thread.

1. This voting style is for EVERYONE. “EVERYONE” includes the 1 sprite sheet “professionalism” people, AS WELL AS the mix and match lovers.
2. THE VOTING WILL CLOSE IN 5 DAYS FROM 6/15/2010. If you don’t get your votes in before then, you can still pm them to IMMUNITY BOW, but they MIGHT not get read, since He will be very busy (but still send ‘em in).

Alright, so this is a new, time efficient voting system. (Big-ish words :) )
What you do is look at the sprite sheets below and vote for your favorite. How do you vote? Through a ballad. This ballad takes about 10min-1hr to do, though in the end, it is a lot faster than polls.
How this style works is you copy and paste the list below into your message, and then you fill it out. After you fill it out with what sprite sheet(s) you like, you put it into a spoiler.
An easy way to make a spoiler is just add spoiler in between the [_____] before, and the [/______] after

PM your choices to Immunitybow.

PS. Pardon a couple slight mistakes on the sheets. Some sprites BARELY overlap, others are BARELY cropped too short, and some, like Exploud’s backsprite 2nd frame did something weird with filling color. (Near its elbow, it’s not supposed to be filled with purple; instead, there should be a blank little triangle. It looks like his mouth isn’t open as wide as it really is.)

Although, the change from posting here to sending to IB has been made, you could do that from the begginning. Just do the "professionalism" one, but add the comment about the others.

Argh, why even vote on backsprites? The second frame is only meant to be shown for a half second, and some of the shading isn't right for a stagnant image on a bunch of them.

if your for the 1st sprite, go for it. This goes with the notice above though, its for all. If someone (like me) would like some 2nd frames, I vote for them. If someone (like you) is for completely 1st frame, vote for em.

this is now closed. Tallying will be going underway, then "hopefully" IB can send me the list, and I can rally them all up. Then I can send the frontsprites, backsprites, shiny fronts and backs all in zip to zero. Also, I'll make a sheet of all of the confirmed.

yah. Like it says, people can still vote for today, its just it might not get considered. On the half full though, it still might.

Basically it didn't work, Shadow Umbreon and zeroality didn't send me a vote but they basically cancel out. In the end we have 3 front sprites for 2, none for backsprites.

The ones that got a majority vote for 2 were: Grumpig, Ninetales and Yanma, and that was by only one vote each.

That's really few, do we really want to forgo continuity for three sprites? There's also a fair few in 2 that seem like they really weren't intended to be static. Ones like Spoink and Muk.

If we want a professional game, then continuity is the way to go. If it were a higher number than three, then it could be worth it to include mixing and matching. But with just those... it really isn't.

Besides, had I taken the time to vote, I would have voted all 1, which would have tied it up.

IB already counted BTG's vote, and now Cyndadile and Reli have all voted for 1. According to my undoubtedly advanced calculations, that means that any mix will end up tied at best.

We aren't polling them individually.

I'm not keeping up with this anymore, so I dont know whats tied, whats not. but since hardly anyone voted for backsprites, I could care less about most all of them, but like I said, I'm wild over the Tauros, Zangoose and Absol back 2nd sprites. They look murder.

PS: Idk if where I got the mareep sprite was messed up or if thats the real colors, but I think whichever wins, it needs HGSS recolor. It looks to furry instead of fluffy. Same with stantler... Idk though if that is the originals or not :P

I thought I already posted that my vote goes toward the 1st frame sprites on all since the 2nd frame is supposed to be the 'animated' frame that shows up for a second or two.
