Surprise!

Some of you probably have already guessed by my recent spike in activity but I've decided to come back to Pokemon Topaz. I had hoped to roll out the new site redesign before I announced my return and make it a big surprise but I know how rumors and speculation can spread around, so here I am.

I am about to start working on the site redesign. I decided to dump the idea of having a tabbed layout and am just going to upgrade our existing one, both on the backend (code) and the frontend (graphics/colors).

Topaz Pokemon will be prominently featured in the design now that we have tons of yummy art to work with. I'll post another announcement when the design is live. Oh, one more thing... I can't promise anything 100% but I am planning to get into the Ruby programming language because I decided that I need to learn some sort of scripting language to complement my web design skills.

Topaz will be my practice/learning project in Ruby and my goal is to help you guys finish the game. I know our biggest obstacle has been a lack of programming so I'm hoping to remedy that. I'm excited to be back, and look forward to working with all of you again - as well as meeting the new faces around here. Cheers!

I had intended to take care of the little odds and ends first, but the host crashing our site/repository has necessitated that these projects take priority.

I'm about to start working on the new site design. I'm hoping to have at least a preview online before I go to bed later in the AM.

Reliability condensed a lot of Gym Leader information (http://www.pokemontopaz.net/forums/showthread.php?888-Gym-Leader-Info-and-Discussion) and such. There's been discussion about the new site design (http://www.pokemontopaz.net/forums/showthread.php?887-new-site-design), which I'd like your input on.

We're still working on previous gen Pokedex entries (http://www.pokemontopaz.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?8-Previous-Gen-Pokedex-Entries). A lot of the discussion has been stalled so if you want to get involved/vote then that'd be cool.

If you can do art, sprites, whatever then you can post in the relevant forums/threads and ask what needs doing. Otherwise just looking at threads around here and putting in your two cents is a great help.

Those limes are serious !@#$. I am soooo excited to have some of the old folks back from when I was here before.....I left because so many active people quit (*cough* you *cough*). I'm back though! I still have my safari zone design if you still need it.......
Also, wtf happened to my post-count? I had over 100 before, now it's 2.

What are limes, and what did they do? If you're talking about the fruit (which I doubt), then how could they affect you online?

I don't think I ever saw that. Go ahead and make a Safari Zone thread in Topaz General and post it if you want.

Just FYI, I've been deleting a lot of stuff off the webserver to reduce clutter.
