State of Topaz: February 16th, 2009

Good signs still happening. We've been getting some new members who seem eager to contribute, and I can only hope that some people who I haven't seen for a while will come back (T_T TehLurker and Ali). Anyway, thanks to all those who are still active and working, especially with the Gym Leaders.

For those who haven't checked out the World of Topaz forum, I strongly recommend you to. I believe it's great flavour and it's fun overall for neon and I.

"Wild Encounter Rates? What progress has there been there?" You may ask. The answer is that everything finalized so far has been sent to Trainer X in TRPG format! This is a huge leap in progress for implementing Topaz on OI, and so we should step up on getting these done so we can have it done!

Sadly, Tropius and Meowth Revamps have had almost NO progress... As much as I would like to get them all done myself, I do have other responsibilities, and it would be sad to see this easy-to-contribute part of Topaz degenerate into a project of so few...

Similar news on Items, though we did get one ball sprite.

Thank you Red Rocket for your wave of posts on Pokedex Entries (and OddCrow for a couple too), but it's not enough to have one person's opinion! Vote on good entries or post more fodder here!

Gym Leader Lineups had progress! Christina is pretty much done, Osiro too! This'll be sent off to OI soon.

Blah blah Random NPC Lines (By the way, there's one in the Staff Forums for all of the spoilers one) blah blah Maps.

Finally, I'm looking for two people (more might come later, but I only think I could manage two for now) who are willing to do some very tedious work on the Caldera/Kirant Pokedex. Please reply by PM if you're interested. Some basic knowledge of HTML is nice, but not overly necessary. Please apply! This is something very time consuming that really can NOT be done by one person. I will choose two people who reply and PM them with the instructions, and if all goes well, I'll ask for more to help out. You need to be dedicated though, I can't have someone dropping out after doing three pokes.
