I'm a failure at making predictions.

I would post my own, but a lot of my recent victories have been people quitting when things took grim for them. I also don't want to give away my Uber team just yet. >.> Perhaps when the tournament is over.

I stink at predicting too. If that would have been me, I would have lost for sure.

I don't get it. A fast Swampert with Waterfall has a fair advantage over Hippowdon, no? Why wouldn't he just stay in and test his luck with the flinch chance?

Perhaps he was keeping it as an Infernape counter? It really doesn't make much sense to me either, but its easier not to question it.

I didn't want to make a new topic just for this so I'm posting here. I am now saving first turn logs where my anti-lead Hippo destroys their lead, so I can show how good it is. So far I have 4, Hippo OHKOing Azelf, Heatran, Jirachi and Metagross. I wish I had done this from the beginning of me using anti-lead Hippo - I'd have a log on a good chunk of the top 20-30 leads.

The one I am really coveting is Ice Fang OHKOing Gliscor. I've done it before but several problems exist in recreating it: Sand Veil/95% accuracy of Ice Fang, max HP/Def, Yache Berry and the biggest problem - the rarity of Gliscor leads. I've only faced two since I started saving first turn logs and the first one had max hp/def and the second had Yache berry.

I might keep a separate log where it does 'moderately well' against some leads - like Swampert (if not enough def, it will do 50%+, making it a 2hko - assuming Swampert goes to SR), Aerodactyl (2hko), Machamp (Hippo will take significant damage but if no confusehax then it's a 2hko since Hippo outspeeds most of the time), Ambipom (will OHKO with Superpower after Fake Out), Weavile (will take moderate damage but Superpower will OHKO), Lucario (assuming it SDs without sash / Hippo taking the CC and OHKOing), Gengar (assuming no Hypnosis, Hippo will take damage then kill), Jolteon (takes damage but OHKOs after) Alakazam (takes damage but OHKOs after, assuming no Specs), Gallade (takes damage but OHKOs after), Arcanine (takes damage but OHKOs after), Rotom (assuming no reflect, takes damage but OHKOs after), Nidoking (takes damage but OHKOs after or OHKOs after a toxic spike assuming no sash).

And that's the leads out of the top 50 that Hippo can beat, with the 2nd list being partially conditional.
