I know that we have several of trainer battle sprites, including the ones for the main character, if that is what you mean.
I think he means sprites for when you're walking around in the grass, or in the towns.
No, we don't have very many overworlds. Any contribution in this area is very welcome.

The head is pretty good. The torso, I'm not too sure. The hands seem weird when he's facing forward, and to my knowledge, the shirt isn't the right colour.
it might take me a while to get the shirt done but the thing i so freagin small!!!!!
EDIT: I made an update but id like to see if you could try at it cuz i have no ideas how to interject a yellow jacket into such a small sprite!!!
We've got some overworlds for the main characters, but we need some overworlds for other trainers.

Moved to Graphics. Not sure why I hadn't done that yet.
There are programs you can download in which you can create an animated gif. But you really don't need to, since it should look right since you just recoloured Blue. Which is the same reason why you'll have to scratch some of it, so it dosen't look so much like him.
But before doing that, is there anyone in particular you had in mind that this was going to represent? Otherwise, it really is a bit of a waste. It looks a little like Froy, but (IIRC, someone should correct me if I'm wrong) we already have Froy's overworlds done.
I think he based it on the trainer sprite on the Topaz website.
Is that just the Gary sprite from FRLG recolored? IB seems to hate recolors, and considering he has so much influence, I'd try someting else.
Okay metagrosslord I'm starting to get tired of your attitude. A lot of what gets done here on Topaz is against what I argue, that's what we have votes for. I delay them sometimes, but ultimately it's up to the rest of the people here. I'm not some kind of tyrant that wrecks up everyone's work because it's not to my liking. In fact, I've tried to do that less than everyone else, always trying to mix positive with the negative. So please shut up about "IB hates this" and "IB likes that better".
Now, to comment on the overworld.
Say, if you were to play a platformer, one with beautiful backgrounds, solid gameplay and original music, yet the main character is simply a yellow Megaman sprite, wouldn't you feel something was off? The main overworld is in your sight half the time you're playing the game, it's not a little time-saving cut that no one will notice. Everyone would notice that it's Gary with red hair. If we were to release a demo, people would be posting "Why is the trainer Gary with red hair?" That's why it's unacceptable, not just because I said so. Also, the trainer sprite on the site is out of date, and we have several contenders for replacements, which is another reason why the sprite can't be used.
