I have trainer sprites in the works. I've figured out how to use my roommate's scanner (yay) and have done some arts. I'm going to focus on revamping Simon, Bradley and Vincent first, then move on to gym leaders that aren't yet done.
Here's something I just did, to see if it would work with the size of drawing I'm doing:

I gave him a Pokeball to hide the fact his had is so screwed up and I un-rounded the head. I'm not sure what else will make him more Pokemon-y. I thought about fixing the highlight on the pants, but other than that?
One thing though. since you're now working on this, are you no longer working on finishing those last few backsprites so they can go into the repository?

-NoNoWriMo (kinda, but not really)
-School (this is essentially like twelve things b/c of various essays, mid-terms)
-Neopets (making 15k a day)
-Watching a lot of movies (Anne Hathaway ones in particular right now)
-Practising guitar for several coffee house performances that are approaching
-Trying not to die from missing meals
I AM aware that I'm wearing myself (potentially disastrously) thin at this moment. But it is all in an effort to get things done. I'm trying to rotate through things, so a little bit of everything, hoping that someone new will come along, get inspired and make suggestions or make a sprite or something. DO NOT FEAR if it appeared I've forgotten something. I probably have not and will go back to it eventually.
Oh, ok, i was just wondering, and OMG! o.o should you really be going that far? I would at least space some time for food....I was asking because no one has posted in the Backsprite thread lately, and i was hoping for some feedback, and maybe help, with the Illumbra Backsprite revamp i attempted.
Spriters get to have their whims. No one's really going to stop them.
Looks good. From my very unprofessional opinion, though, I'd say that the shading on the pants might need some finishing touches. Also, the head seems a bit too "wide," but again, I am by no means an expert on these kinds of things. ^^'

I'm not too happy with it, but its a start.
Definitely a good start. I like the lantern. :D My only complaint is that it seems... flat? I'm not sure, it just seems like the clothing (namely the pants) seem "off."
