Trainer Log: 021413
I stayed the night in Neo Bay so that I could get better acquainted with Echoise. I could tell that he was feeling just as bad as I was over our loss that day, so I did my best to make him feel better. We played for hours on end, then watched the sunset before turning in. The next day, we were both refreshed and ready to take on any challenges that stood before us.
Of course, I had hoped to get more than two steps onto Route 49 before one of those challenges showed up...
Cheep cheep! Out popped the first challenge of the day!

I shrieked, then ordered a Tackle from Echoise.
Whack! Echoise's snout whacked right into Fincherp's beak! That had to hurt - for both of them.

It worked so well the first time, so why not try it again?
Echoise launches himself at Fincherp once again, and Fincherp again drills her beak into Echoise's snout, hoping that the pain will cause this monster to go away and let him resume his daily stroll.

I figured it wouldn't hurt to have another Tackle.
Echoise, rubbing his sore snout with one fin, begged to differ, but he lunged forward anyway for a repeat performance.

I think I had put Echoise through enough punishment as it was, so I took out a Pokemon and threw it at the egg bird. And then suddenly I thought of Dr. Robotnik.
OoC: Assuming you are throwing a pokeball as opposed to hurling your Echoise at the foe.
Wiggle... Wiggle... Wiggle... Poof! Sparks fly out of the pokeball as the Fincherp is caught.
You may now nickname him, if you so desire, or simply search for your next challenge.
I then remembered that I had forgotten to nickname Echoise, so I nicknamed him "Protagonist's Pet", and nicknamed my Fincherp "Please Don't Die".
Then I returned them to their Pokeball before they could protest their new names and set off for new adventures, like a random encounter perhaps.

I saw the little guy and suddenly had the urge to scream "OHBOYOHBOYOHBOY"! I didn't even know why.
But I did know that it was a potential partner, so I figured we'd start off just like before, with Protagonist's Pet using Tackle.
Protagonist's Pet charged forward to smash into the wild Ampure, but that was exactly what Ampure was waiting for. When Echoise hit, Ampure let out a massive discharge of energy, shocking Echoise.

I made a face like this: D:
Then I ordered another Tackle and whinced in anticipation for my starter's pain.
Unfortunately, Protagonist's Pets' hits just weren't as strong as they should be. Edit: This turned out to be a mistake on the updater's part, and thus, Ampure took an extra point of damage out of nowhere.

However, luckily for you, Ampure decided to taunt the dolphin by wagging it's tail at him. For some reason, it forced the Echoise to forgo all defensive measures.
I told Echoise that all he had to do is execute one more successful Tackle and he'd have another new friend.
Echoise gladly tackles the foe, but he isn't so sure that he wants a friend who would keep zapping him like that.

I gave Echoise a look of reassurance, then threw a Poke Ball at his opponent.
Stare intently at the rhythmic shaking of the pokeball while a young man blasts suspenseful music from a boombox. As the music draws to a close, the pokeball stops shaking and...
