State of Topaz: August 25th, 2008

Exactly two weeks have passed since Piro's last state of Topaz.

Piro's leave happened without too many hitches, which is exactly how he wanted it to happen. We should be thankful of that.

Fangking Omega came back as our programmer and mapper, which is a great relief to everyone here. Along with him came a nice list of things needed to be done for a demo to come out as soon as possible, which is nice so we can organize and prioritize. He has also been promoted to Global Mod to help him with his job, so congratulations to him on that.

The site's dex pages have started being filled out. They're not open to public yet, but be assured that they're being worked on. The best way to help out is to contribute to the filling out of the dex data list found here: http://pokemontopaz.net/forums/showthread.php?t=560 . One great help here has been Malphis, who keeps on delurking and materializing to help us out and correct things =D .

The following sprites have been updated on the site: Venap Line Celsinge Line Lupine Line (YES!!!) Grific Line Chiarame Smallard Line Drakodo

Note that the blue-beaked Smallard was chosen to be the official sprite, whereas the yellow-beaked one will be the shiny. Note also that we don't have any Xs anymore on the Pokemon sprite page!

Backs have been progressing, the main ones needed now are Wolvine and the Huskii Line. Many thanks to Novoni and Lost Binary for these.

Egg Moves are nearing completion. Atlaxa and Snarliger have not been assigned yet, though some I haven't heard of in a long time (Scorchion). I'm sorry Shadow Rukario and OddCrow that I haven't assigned you the two just mentioned, but I wanted to save them for last, and then I'll do an RNG to see who does them. Don't ask why, it just feels right =P . Big thanks to Ali and thedude27 for doing over 10 lines each.

TMs lists are almost done too, mostly done by Ali, but with several contributions by others. However, HMs are still completely open, so feel free to PM me any HM lists you feel like doing.
