Due to its inherited unstable nature, a VAPOREON can absorb almost any water it comes into contact with. Such water is absorbed into the cells and used to duplicate, adding to the VAPOREON's health.

VAPOREON are more usually kept as pets than used by POKEMON trainers to battle with. This could be because of its dislike towards roughness.
