    Default So Fly

OOC: Something a little more light. Some of CG's lyrics are a bit harsh, but this one is pretty soft.

Donald walked along a wide, well-traveled path. It was likely that many trainers had taken this path on the beginning of their quests here. Caldera/Kirant wasn't as famous as places like Kanto, but it still had plenty of trainers. Donald originally came here because it was a bit more off the beaten path so to speak, in order to help get away from it all. If he had started a journey in Kanto or Johto, he would have attracted a lot of attention from magazines and friends. But his television shows wouldn't be filming again for quite a while and he had put out a mixtape just before leaving, so he figured he would have plenty of time to try out this whole Pokemon thing away from the spotlight and see if he liked it. He wondered if he would end up having the same attitude his parents did about pokemon. He felt like he might not, even after one battle. His Celsinge had done really well, and had proven itself to be pretty reliable in a jam. Perhaps he could really get to liking having faithful companions at his side, having gone it alone for most of his relatively young life.

As he thought more about the previous match with Tina, he decided to call out his Celsinge to get a better look at it. It was fairly small compared to some of the Pokemon he had seen on TV, but it seemed to have a resolute demeanor that few pokemon had. Its fur was soft, but its body was quite warm, probably too warm to have by one's side in an already warm bed and expect to be comfortable. But if it were to rain, or if accommodations were to be less than satisfactory? His pokemon's warmth would be a boon in those situations, and likely many more.

He felt like his pokemon deserved a nickname, something to differentiate itself from all the other Celsinge in the world. Give it a bit of personal flair, something Donald himself was known for.

"I think I'll call you... Nadir. It's a deep word, and reminds me of one of my best friends from back home." The Celsinge cocked his head a bit as if he didn't quite understand, but seemed to be okay with the strange word that the human was taking to mean him.

"Nadir, why don't we try and do some training on our own for a bit before we keep going? I bet we could learn more about each other and perform better in our next battles. The match against that Echoise was just the beginning!"

OOC: I'd like to Nickname my Celsinge Nadir. I'd also like to try out the Out Of Battle Training if that's okay. If you haven't seen the post on that yet, you can find it in the staff forum (it's the big quoted one).

As you walk down the route you chance by a group of Youngsters. "Battling? Nah!" they say. "Racing is our game!" They bring out their Pokeballs and out pops a Mogel, an Ampure and a Mareep. Perhaps a race would be good to give Nadir some exercise?

Donald was snapped out of his little conversation with Nadir by a small group of young kids, all about 12 years of age. They seemed to be yelling at each other, each with a pokemon by their side. Donald recognized the Sheep-looking pokemon as a Mareep, but hadn't seen the the other two before. He wasn't quite sure what they were, but all 3 of the pokemon seemed to be at about the same level. He wondered what the kids were yelling about, and decided to go have a listen with Nadir by his side.

"My Mogel is gonna wipe the floor with all of you!" One kid proclaimed.

"No way! My Ampure is lightning quick!" Another kid yelled. Donald surmised that they were arguing with each other about which pokemon was the fastest of the bunch, but he wanted to be sure.

"Um, hey guys." Donald said, walking up between the 3 boys. "Why don't you guys just have a race? I'll enter too, I bet my pokemon can give you guys a run for your money!"

"Hey, that's not a bad idea!" One of the youngsters replied, apparently astonished by this relatively easy solution. "Okay, let's set up a course!" The three youngsters scattered in different directions. One of them used his shoe to scuff a rough line in the dirt, while another used a stick to write the word "START". Another one began grabbing other sticks to make boundaries for a more official, full course. Donald grabbed a thick piece of wood and buried it in the ground on one end so that it stood straight up and down, as a turnaround point about 50 yards from the start line. Then they all began to look for small obstacles to make it tougher. Some of the youngsters grabbed some rocks to put in the way while Donald help another youngster carry a log for the pokemon to hurdle over. Meanwhile, the pokemon played and frolicked together in a clearing to get to know each other.

After about 20 minutes, a proper course had been set up. Two of the youngsters stood on either side of the start line, in order to ensure that no pokemon was over the line. Donald and the other youngster stood on either side of the finish line, just in case it was a close race and they needed a "photo finish" of sorts. The pokemon would start off on a straight path, but then come to a bunch of rocks that they would need to weave around before reaching the turnaround point. On the way back, there were two logs that would have to be climbed or jumped over for the pokemon to reach the finish. Stepping outside of the stick-boundaries would mean disqualification. The pokemon all crouched at the starting line, ready to spring into action when the youngsters announced the start of the race.

"GO!" Both youngsters yelled in unison. The race was on! The Mogel was very quick off the block, speeding up quickly and clearing the first five yards in no time. But Ampure was quite fast as well. The Ampure jockeyed for position and prevented Nadir from getting ahead of her. Mareep seemed to start off slow, but was speeding up faster and faster as it ate up the ground. In no time at all, the pokemon were at the rocky portion of the course, each youngster cheering for their respective pokemon. Mogel remained out in front, but stumbled over one of the rocks and lost its footing. It went head over heels and landed on its back in a daze as the other pokemon raced past it. Ampure had the lead at this point, quickly taking the inside lane around the turnaround stick, keeping Nadir from getting by. Mareep was about 2 bodylengths behind, but still kept pace with the leaders. As the racers came in for the home stretch, Ampure found that it wasn't quite able to clear the first log on its first try, and had to tense up again in order to hurdle it. This gave Nadir the chance to get the lead! Donald found himself cheering as loud as he could for his pokemon! But it wasn't over yet! Ampure was still just behind, and Mareep had easily cleared the log without slowing down at all! At the second log, the Ampure had to gather itself once again, meaning that Nadir and Mareep were able to pass it for good that time. But while Nadir had to slow down just a little, the Mareep was able to jump over the logs at full speed. The Mareep took the lead with just 10 yards to go! Nadir pushed hard, running as fast as his little legs would carry him, but in the end the Mareep had the momentum to carry itself to victory!

The youngster who owned the Mareep squealed with joy. "I knew you could do it, Mareep!" Donald couldn't stop himself from cheering the Mareep on. He looked over at Nadir, who seemed a bit sad that it hadn't won the race. Donald ran over and picked up his pokemon.

"That's okay, Nadir! You did great, and next time we'll beat them for sure!"

    OOC Judgment:
Nice post, good pacing. I enjoy the fact that the quadripeds won, since that makes a lot of logical sense. Some healthy competition! The bond between the two of you grows stronger. Here, have 30 EXP and 3 Happiness!

As Donald and Nadir cuddled, they soon realized that they were in the midst of tall grass. Ouch! Something bit Donald. Firants! Most of them continued their long march to who knows where, but one had decided that Donald and Nadir were food and was intent on bringing them back.

"AGGGGH!" Donald screamed. His posterior was suddenly filled with a searing pain. He jumped up from his spot almost instantly, only to find that a group of small bug pokemon had appeared where he and Nadir had been sitting. One of them had seriously bitten Donald right in the butt! He held back the urge to loudly curse, thinking that the youngsters might still be nearby. There were a about four of these bug pokemon, but one in particular seemed more belligerent than the others, angrily gnashing its pincers.

Donald was pretty angry, and had a very sore rear. He wasn't about to let this pokemon get away with that! "Alright, Nadir. Let's teach this thing a lesson! What did I ever do to it?" Nadir jumped forward to face the Firant, eager to kick the bug pokemon to the curb once more. The other Firants stayed nearby but did not enter the fray, letting the belligerent Firant battle alone. Perhaps they wanted no part of a trainer's pokemon. "Nadir, use your Scratch!" Donald yelled.

The Firant chittered defiantly at Nadir, but Nadir recognized his dominance in the situation. Swiftly and without hesitation, it dashed towards the Firant, landing a heavy blow on the Firant and piercing hertough exoskeleton. The Firant bared her mandibles, chittering ever more furiously. Suddenly, she vibrated and let loose a large gob of formic acid. Nadir was all covered in the acid, which burned a little but quickly he shook it off and got back into his battle stance.

This Firant was sure defiant, but it seemed like Nadir was a lot stronger than the small bug pokemon. Nadir had taken a direct hit from the burning acid the Firant spat out, but had shaken it off quite easily.

"Nice job, Nadir!" Donald said encouragingly. He didn't want to get in Nadir's way and over manage the battle this time, as he felt he might have done with his battle against Tina.

The Firant chittered angrily, seemingly sensing that it was a bit overmatched. Nadir let out a squeaky but somewhat menacing growl, if you found squeaky sounds to be menacing. Perhaps the growl would become more intimating as Nadir grew.

"Okay Nadir, try a scratch again." Donald commanded. This battle didn't seem as difficult as the first one, but then again he should have expected that Tina's pokemon would be tougher than the average Bug pokemon.

Nadir confidently strode around, circling what he recognized to be his first true prey. Firant took a step backwards, but gathered her courage once again opened and closed her mandibles menacingly. Casually, Nadir sidestepped once, twice, three times! Faster than the Firant could turn herself around. Getting Firant's back, Nadir, flipped her over and scored several hits on her soft unprotected underside. The Firant lashed out her legs furiously, preparing, then flipped herself back upright spitting another gob of formic Acid at Nadir.

Nadir had really done a number to small, weak Firant so far. It seemed even more clear now that Donald's pokemon had the Firant outmatched. But the Firant still would not desist from thrashing back and dealing small injuries to Nadir.

Donald was about tired of this rude little bug pokemon's attitude. He gave Nadir a look, as if to say "Scratch again", but Nadir didn't seem to understand him. Perhaps their connection wasn't quite that far yet. Donald shrugged, and said "Finish off that pokemon with Scratch!" instead.

Nadir, too, was growing tired of the Firant. The Firant once again drew from its supply of formic acid, but Celsinge quickly ran up and dispatched it with a swift shake of its claws.

    Nadir gained 15 EXP!

Nadir batted at the fainted Firant, contemplating its victory, when a chirping noise came from the nearby brush. Chirp! Chirp! The Fincherp practically rolled out of the brush, sticky egg bits getting in his way. Hopping along, he got in between Firant and Nadir, looking like he wanted to win some prey off of the lion cub.

Nadir easily dispatched the Firant with one final scratch, it flopped over fainted. The other Firants began to close in, but swiftly backed away. Donald wondered why that was until a bird pokemon wearing part of an eggshell landed between Nadir and the Firant. It seemed to want to keep the Firant for itself as food.

Donald had little idea about what any of these pokemon were. He would have to read up about them as soon as he got the chance. For now though, this pokemon didn't seem like it was going to leave without a bit of a brawl. Donald had half a mind to just leave the Fincherp alone so it could eat the Firant that had bitten his bottom, but he decided that Nadir might want to train against the flying type.

"Okay, Nadir. Use Scratch on that pokemon!"

Despite the egg shell bits weighing it down, the little Fincherp was quick! He flitted around, looking for a point of attack. Nadir feinted a pounce, and the Fincherp fell for the bait, leaping backwards trying to dodge. Though the little bird was fast, Nadir was faster due to his greater combat experience. He charged after Fincherp, landing a hefty blow. Fincherp rolled back, but was able to hop forward again and land a swift and strong peck before disengaging once more.

The flying pokemon was mighty quick on its feet, but the pieces of eggshell that it seemed to be wearing as makeshift armor slowed it down just enough for Nadir to strike first. The Fincherp seemed to have more than enough energy for this to be a difficult battle though. Nadir was excited at the prospect of a tougher challenge.

"Be careful, Nadir!" Donald warned. This Fincherp wasn't likely to be as big a pushover as the Firant. "Try to find a weak point or crack in the eggshell that's protecting the pokemon, and strike there with Scratch!" Nadir nodded in affirmation, and pounced forward to deliver the blow.

Nadir raked at the Fincherp, landing a solid blow and cracking off pieces of egg shell in the process. Annoyed, Nadir shook out the egg shell pieces that were trapped in his claws. That was the Fincherp's chance! Once again, it flitted forward and struck out with its beak. They both took hefty hits but it looked like the Celsinge's superior speed and stamina were going to give him the upper hand.

Nadir had gotten a bit more of the eggshells than he had bargained for, but now at least there might be a bit more of an opening for him to exploit. The Fincherp seemed to be well on its way to being out of stamina. A few more solid Scratch attacks would likely handle this foe. Donald thought he might have overestimated this opponent a bit. He and Nadir were doing okay after all, surprisingly better than he would have thought at first.

"Alright Nadir, see if you can jump into the air and scratch downwards to bring the pokemon down to your level! If it gets grounded, it might not be able to take to the air again after the attack!"

As instructed, Nadir pounced onto the wary Fincherp, who, worn out from the battle, could not escape to either side. Landing practically on top of the little bird, Nadir drew his claws and scratched away, entirely ignoring the protected bits and scoring more damage than usual. However, when he disengaged, he could not ignore the beak mark in his underside, where Fincherp had struggled and landed at sharp Peck during the melee.

The Fincherp had been pinned down by Nadir, who delivered a series of quick scratches to the enemy pokemon. The Fincherp quickly peck at Nadir in self-defense, but it was quite fatigued by now, and didn't seem as if it would be able to handle much more of this.

Donald was about ready to end this match. He was pretty tired from the day's events (and had a sore butt to boot), and wanted to get to the next town to rest.

"Nadir, let's try to end this match with one last Scratch attack so we can get out of here."

Nadir was beginning to enjoy these battles. Casually, it loped up towards Fincherp, and took just a little bit of pride in the fear it saw in the vulnerable Fincherp's eyes. It wasn't time for mercy though. Nadir brought his claw to bear, and flicked at the Fincherp, who promptly fainted. Although the last two battles had been rather easy for the Celsinge, he still felt that he had learned something...

The flying pokemon had had enough, and flew away angrily. Nadir had won again!

"Hey, all right! Good job, Nad-ouch!" The pain in Donald's rear flared up again. "Oof... We should probably get going. I hope the next town isn't too far." Donald and Nadir began walking side by side in the opposite direction of Neo Bay. His strides weren't perfect due to the stinging, but he gritted his teeth and kept going anyway. Luckily for him, the path and straight and fairly easy to follow. It would be very hard to get lost on a route like this. Nadir stayed close just in case his trainer need assistance.

Donald saw something ahead of him as he walked. It looked to be another person, although they seemed a bit short. As he closed the distance, he saw that it was one of the youngsters from before. Donald cleared his throat, getting the young trainer's attention. "Hey, are you from Sunset Village?"

The youngster ran up and said "Sure am, mister! Do you need a place to stay for the night?" Donald was a bit taken aback by the sudden offer of shelter.

"Er, okay. As long as your parents are okay with it."

The youngster smiled. "Sure! I bring new trainers all the time. But there's a condition."

At this point, Donald didn't much care what the condition might be. "What is it?"

The youngster smiled again and said "We have to battle, and you have to win!" Donald groaned. His butt was killing him, and it was starting to get late. He didn't really want to waste time battling a kid. But then again, a nice warm bed or at the very least a spot on a couch was probably in his future if he won.

"Uhm... alright kid. But let's try to make this quick. You ready Nadir? One more match and we can take a rest!" Nadir mewed and stepped forward between the trainers, ready to battle.

OOC: Could I get a trainer battle, please? I'm trying to get Nadir up to level 7 before I leave here.

"Ready, set, go!" The Youngster let fly a Pokeball, and out popped a small unsuspecting electric lemur. "You'll have to be careful of this one!" gloated the Youngster. "Though Ampure may seem frail, it's static and special moves might cause you a shocking failure!"

Nadir was face to face with the Ampure that he had raced against before. The two pokemon already knew each other well from racing together. The Ampure had cut Nadir off multiple times, but had finally been passed when it found it difficult to leap over the logs at the end of the course.

Nadir stepped forward a few times, ready to battle the Ampure. Ampure looked eager to try and assert its dominance in order make up for finishing behind Nadir in the race.

"Alright kid, let's do this!" Donald said. "Nadir, get up there and use a Scratch attack on that Ampure!"

OOC: Levels OP. Look at your speed stats. You still get to go first. =S

As eager as Ampure was to win the race for first blood, Nadir had proven himself earlier and was more than a match for Ampure in speed. He had been learning over the course of his previous battles how to better size up his enemies, and lo and behold. This little monkey seemed rather puny. It was time for Nadir to outmatch Ampure in physical prowess. He raced up towards the lemur and rent it with his claws. Ampure flew backwards with the force of the blow, scratches showing on its face. It shuffled backwards, building just enough charge to "Thundershock!" Yelled the Youngster, and Ampure wholeheartedly agreed. Bzzzap! The shock caught the Celsinge hard, attuned as it was to Ampure's own electrical nature, despite Nadir's natural magical resistance.

OOC: STAB attacks are also OP imo. I've gotta level up to 7 on this route just so I can survive the Fishing Guru and his level 4 Trillogil.

Nadir was just fast enough to deal a powerful Scratch to the Ampure. The Ampure flew back, but exhibited great body control by turning to face Nadir as it fell, and sent a small jolt of electricity flying at Nadir. Donald realized that Nadir might be at a serious disadvantage due to having no distance attacks at its disposal.

"Nadir, try to close the gap between you and Ampure as quickly as you can! On your next attack, try to keep the Ampure close to you so it can't take potshots from far away! Use your Scratch attack now!" Nadir nodded, and dashed forward to deal the blow.

Nadir rushed up menacingly towards the Ampure, causing it to squeak in fright. It had been attempted to charge up another Thundershock, but the power dissipated as it jumped into the air and landed on the ground again. Nadir pounced! Ampure dodged, but his tail cause Nadir, catching him off guard. Skillfully, the Ampure flipped its tail upwards, but Nadir was ready, and extended his claws, causing Ampure's motion to send its tail through his sharp claws. Bzzat! Nadir's attack had built up an excess of Static though, paralyzing him. With his motions slowed by paralysis and Ampure's health depleted by his attacks, there was no knowing where this battle was going!

OOC: I realize how tough this battle is possibly going to be, and that I forgot that you're supposed to put all of a trainer's Pokemon up when you first meet them. So I guess I'll make this trainer have only one Pokemon but it'll level you up since the battle is going to be so tough.

OOC: It's all good, I guess. We'll see how this shakes out, haha.

Nadir cornered the Ampure, but swiftly felt the pain of that decision as the dissipated Thundershock went directly into him. He began to stumble around a bit, having trouble keeping his feet as the Ampure used a defensive technique with its tail.

Donald looked on in horror. His pokemon seemed to be having trouble controlling its extremities. "Uh, oh! Something's wrong with Nadir!" He yelled out. The youngster didn't seem all that impressed.

"Your pokemon is just paralyzed, mister. ...Do you not know about status problems?" Donald made a note to look up what status problems were, too whenever he got to a place with wi-fi, or whatever they had here.

"No, I know what they are! I was just testing you is all. Nadir, can you still battle?" Nadir looked back at Donald and gave a labored nod of its head. "Alright, well we're gonna need to change tactics here. If you try and go after the Ampure you'll just be outmaneuvered. So this time, wait for the Ampure to come to you, and deal a Scratch when it gets close!" Donald was pretty happy with himself for coming up with that idea. The Ampure could conceivably keep itself out of range to fire electricity, but this Ampure was very young and seemed inexperienced with delivering a jolt outside of a very short range. It would likely be inaccurate from anywhere outside of Nadir's reach.

Nadir's eyes darted around, searching for the Ampure for when it got close. As soon as the Ampure would arrive to deliver a shock, it would receive a little shock of its own in the form of a Scratch counterattack.

Ampure darted around excitedly, happy that it was starting to get the advantage in speed. He danced around Nadir mockingly, as if trying to flaunt the fact that it he still had full use of his senses. Nadir was content to patiently play the waiting game, however. He sat there, moving nothing but his eyes, and his head when that wasn't enough. He trembled a bit. He wasn't sure whether he'd seize up when the moment came, but until then he'd rest. Tired of his game, Ampure went on the offensive. With all the dancing he had done, he had built up quite the charge. Sensing this, Nadir slowly but surely, crawled closer and closer to the youngster. He glared in challenge at Ampure, who realized that with his inexperience, if he tried to deliver the shock from range, he had just as much chance of electrifying his owner as he did Nadir. Forced to get closer, Ampure delivered his charge, stinging Nadir greatly. However, Nadir, showed that although he was slower than before, he was still no slouch, and caught up to the now-close Ampure to deliver a few good rakes with his claws.

The plan had worked, with a little bit of improvisation from Nadir. Nadir had used Ampure's own trainer as a shield of sorts, staying near him in order to prevent the Ampure from wildly sending bolts of electricity at him. When the Ampure was forced to close in, nadir endured the shock and then used his claws to rake the Ampure. Still, the Ampure didn't seem anywhere near out of gas yet. Donald was genuinely worried about Nadir. This was even tougher than the battle against the Echoise! For the first time since then, he genuinely wasn't sure if he would win the match. Granted, the only other battles he had had since then were against an ant and a small bird, but it was still quite stressful.

Donald was quite surprised by Nadir's willingness to do whatever it took to win. He would knowingly risk harm to the youngster in order to force the Ampure to come closer. Donald figured that it was just a fierce desire to be the best, and he could understand that. He decided that perhaps going along with it would be best course of action.

"Nadir, keep moving towards the youngster, but don't use too much of your energy! You'll need it for when the Ampure comes close in again. Use Scratch when he gets close!"

The two Pokemon clashed once more. Nadir fiercely held his ground close to the youngster. This time, however, the youngster realized what was happening, and quickly backed away to allow room for Ampure to maneuver. It was too late however, as the quick Ampure, moved in to deliver the shock. The youngster managed to get clear, but Ampure was close enough that they were able to exchange blows. As he was jolted in pain, Nadir used the extra electrical stimulus to speed up his muscles, bringing himself closer to Ampure much quicker than anticipated, and managing to claw him a few times before they disengaged once more.

OOC: Hmm... well this should be interesting.

Nadir had been unintentionally invigorated by the electric shock, and had jetted forward to slash the Ampure. Unfortunately, Nadir was now too far away from the youngster to use him as a pseudo-shield. Ampure had been devastated by Nadir's blow, but remained standing if just barely. However, Nadir didn't seem as if it could take another hit, and stood no chance of moving before the Ampure. Things were looking quite bleak for Donald and his pokemon. Nadir would be open to electric shock if he didn't get back to the youngster, but he was now much closer to Donald than the other trainer... hmm. Perhaps Nadir could use him as a shield instead? It would depend on whether the Ampure had scruples about shocking other trainers than its owner. Donald thought about it for a bit, and decided that it would be a gamble he would have to make. Otherwise Nadir would surely be hit from afar with no method of retaliation. His butt was already sore, his whole body may as well be shocked too.

Clearing his throat nervously, Donald gave his command: "Nadir. I know this sounds crazy, but you've got to listen to me on this one. You're a lot closer to me, so I need you to move as close to me as possible. Hopefully that will make the Ampure come close enough for you to Scratch. If not, we may as well both get shocked together." Donald stopped for a moment, then continued; "When he gets close, try to sneak in a quick little strike before he can attack! Ampure looks like any type of contact at all will finish it off, so if you can just get even a little tackle in, you might be able to win before he shocks you." Nadir nodded, noting the stress in Donald's voice. His trainer was already possibly putting himself in harm's way for the sake of the victory. Nadir's strength was fading, but perhaps he could win if he followed his trainer's command. He began to move closer to his trainer, in order to position himself most effectively.

    OOC: Let's do this, lol

Nadir certainly didn't like the idea of putting his master in danger, but Donald seemed so earnest, so he decided to trust his master and obey. The youngster, however, was dead set on winning. "Ampure," he said, "you've gotta prove to me that you can beat this guy! Don't lose like you did in the race! You're faster now, do whatever it takes!" Ampure began shuffling around, building up charge. Was it going to go for the safety of range, but potential of shocking another trainer, or was it going to approach Nadir and risk fainting. A few things flashed through Ampure's head. First was the race, and the disappointment of the youngster after it. Ampure didn't ever want to disappoint his master like that ever again. Next came the feeling of searing pain he had suffered. He was exhausted. He couldn't even take another hit, no matter how weak. Shaking his head, Ampure decided, he didn't want to risk it. The physical and emotional trauma from doing so would be too great. During the time Ampure was deliberating, Nadir slowly and steadily made his way towards Donald.

It was time. Ampure, aimed haphazardly, and let loose his electric shock. It arced through the air, blasting its way towards Donald and Nadir. BZZZAP! It forked! In its search for the path of least resistance, the electric shock had found itself equally between Pokemon and trainer, and forked in order to pass through both of them on its way to the ground. Brilliant, searing pain filled the two, but Nadir felt something different. Somehow, the shock was... weaker. Having split between the two of them, they both were able to suffer through the hit with slightly less damage than a full-force jolt. This was Nadir's moment. He had saved all his energy for now. He rushed up towards the Ampure, and delivered the final blow.

Weary but still on his feet, Nadir looked up at Donald. He had learned a lot from this battle. Not just about fighting, but also about the bond between Pokemon and Trainer, and the sacrifices they could make for each other. Now, it was time to get on towards a town to recover their injuries, was it not?

Nadir reached level 7! Nadir gained 3 Happiness! Donald received 140P for winning!

OOC: Yup. Rolled a 6 damage for Ampure's Thundershock.

Donald was hit by the forking jolt of electricity. When he saw it heading towards him, he didn't think it would be all that strong, but it sure hurt! He fell backwards, but immediately sat up to see how Nadir had fared. His pokemon was weak, but had just managed to survive thanks to the part of the blow that Donald had absorbed. Donald's hair stood on end as Nadir dealt a Scratch that knocked the Ampure out. They had won.

"Wahoo!" Donald yelled weakly. His whole body was tingly. He took a few moments to stand up and walked over to Nadir, who seemed pretty injured. The youngster recalled his Ampure.

"Aw man!" The youngster said. "Eh, that's okay I guess. You alright, mister?" Donald nodded in affirmation. "Let me help you, it's not far to my mom's place. We'll get our pokemon healed up too." The youngster helped Donald walk along, while Donald carried his worn out, but triumphantly smiling pokemon.

OOC: Whew, that was a close one! I'm going to move on to Sunset now.
