Default MS Paint alternatives for Linux

As the title implies, I want to know of there are any good MS Paint/ Paint.NET alternatives for Linux. I just dislike needing to dual boot Windows 7 and Lubuntu when all I really use in Windows is MS Paint and some games I can live without. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Take a look at Krita or GIMP. Both are free so if they aren't for you you haven't risked anything.

Thanks IB. I'm currently using GIMP after trying Pinta, I'll give Krita a try as well.
