    *resurrects thread*

Farmers take extraordinary precautions to prevent MURKROW from invading their fields. It is said that the presence of even one can ruin an entire harvest.

While MURKROW are always known to be sinister and unlucky, a certain stone indigenous to a northern region can cause one to become even more sinister than a HARSKROW.

MURKROW are often mistaken for witches on broomsticks when flying, due to their unique tail feather and head shapes.

Though many believe Murkrow to be harbingers of disaster, the pokemon are actually fleeing from low pressure areas, where such things occur.

If possible it should be in singular though:

MURKROW is often mistaken a flying witch on a broomstick. This illusion occurs due to its unique tail feather and head shape.

Actually this would be a better wording:

MURKROW is often mistaken for a witch flying on a broomstick. This is due to its unique tail feather and head shapes.

I like this wording better tbh.

MURKROW is often mistaken for a witch flying on a broomstick. This is due to its unique tail feathers and head shape.

I had "shapes" pluralized because I was referring to the shapes of both the tail feathers *and* the head.

personally, i don't like any of the Murkrow mistaken for a witch idea...wouldn't the flapping wings give it away? besides, the head resembles like a mobster's Fedora....i just don't think this mistaken identity thing fits...

"This is due" is dry as bones :/

"shapes" should not be pluralized or else you would have to add an apostrophe after "tail feathers'", which loses a lot of elegance.

The concept isn't bad, but it could be worded differently. Maybe something like this:
Because of its unique stature, MURKROW was once believed to be a witch on a broomstick. Its feathers blend perfectly into the night sky, making it nearly impossible to see during a new moon.

Your argument doesn't hold too much water when you consider that Murkrow was based off of a witch in the first place. And it's Honchkrow that has the fedora, not Murkrow.

    Okay, done.

Because of its unique stature, MURKROW was once believed to be a witch on a broomstick. Its feathers blend perfectly into the night sky, making it nearly impossible to see during a new moon.
