Bumping, because of this (we were talking about Konrad's video progress, then it shifted to cries, and then the following:

    Pikang says
I don't like a bunch of them, but right now, I need to work on new ones.
    and move animations
THEN I can worry about revamps

    J.J. Helm says
well you may want to wait on move animations

    Pikang says
    why?

    J.J. Helm says
the specifications might change with konrad on board

    Pikang says
    oh, true

    J.J. Helm says
immunitybow's instructions were based on badara's specs
feel free to bump the thread about move animations and konrad will see it

    Pikang says
It's just...there's a boatload of moves, from Absorb to Zap Cannot
    Cannon*
    lol cannot

    J.J. Helm says
    lol
Sooo, yeah...anything new we need to know, komrad Konrad?

I've checked everything, and I don't need anything different.

Ugh J.J. Helm? I had no freaking idea. I use trillian. Stupid MSN, stupid stupid. Changing to zeroality asap.

Anyway, guess that resolves it then. I'd say move animations are sorta low priority at this point though. I'd prefer more cries from you.

Bumping because there's no point in starting another thread, right?

How are double battle animation going to work? What I mean is, using Hyper Beam as an example, you want the beam to come from the user, not the space between the user and its partner, correct? And you want it to hit one opponent, not both. This had to come up at some point, right?

I believe that the kit should have that covered.

We are going to have to make most of the animations ourselves, but there's an easy to use editor that comes with the kit.

Bumping to garner interest, and because I barfed at the current animations we had for Ember in Konrad's newest video.

Anyone want to help me? I'm actually in the mood, here!

Hmm... I was actually wondering about what I should do next. After some touch up things (the Avalanche/Bug Bite name change) and getting the ball rolling on pokemon.txt (tutorial coming some time in the near future) and revamps, yeah, definitely.

Bumping...but does anyone know where to get sound effects from the Gen 3 games? Specifically, battle SFX...I've looked all over...but no luck.

I don't know. I looked too. Maybe there's a way to rip them off the rom?

You can definitely rip from the rom. With the proper tools, of course.

Try use a emulator who enables to record audio, or record video then rip of the audio, and edit the audio to pick the effects, até outra hora!

Re-recording would actually be a lot of extra work. You'd have to isolate the sfx from the background music. It'd be much easier just to rip the sounds from a rom.

I found an odd German (I *think* it's German!) ROM of Ruby that allows for a sound test...maybe I or someone else could rip the sounds from that? It's literally all I can find...

Do you have an inkling of how to rip sounds? If someone could post a tutorial or something if it's not too difficult I'll do it, though the upload speed where I am at the minute is pretty terrible.

Do you mean Pokemon Essentials? This link should work: http://pokemonessentials.wikia.com/wiki/Downloads
I believe we're using version 9, although it could be 8.
