Stantlers inhabit forests far from human dwellings. Their horns are popular wall decorations because of the giddy feeling one gets by looking at them. Looking at them to long, however, is bad for the eyes.

STANTLER are often found near mountain sides in large heards. Although usually docile, if startled they are known to stampede, causing rockfalls or avalanches.
STANTLER is a deer like pokemon that lives in dense pine forests and uses its antlers to confuse preditors long enough for it to make its escape
edit to mk94"s: STANTLER is a deer like pokemon which lives in large cold forests. It uses its hypnotic powers to confuse predators long enough for it to make its retreat

I'd prefer if we didn't use references to real-world Pokemon. I know Gamefreak does it all the time but it's quite a bothering inconsistency, and you lose the feel of the Pokemon universe.

I wish...
If you meant "animals", then I agree.

Ahaha yeah, my mistake.

The problem with that is texture. Like, is Pikachu fuzzy? Is Charizard scaley? Does the grass on Shaymin actually feel like grass? Is Porygon smooth?
On topic again:
STANTLER typically hides in dense forests where it can blend in to the surroundings. If found by a predator, it will use its antlers to hypnotize the predator long enough to escape.
Or, with a variation of sentance 2:
STANTLER typically hides in dense forests where it can blend in to the surroundings. When startled, it will use its antlers to hypnotize the percieved threat long enough to escape.

I like the variation, sounds slightly more sophisticated to me, and i like it.

Sure, I like the variation, but remember "I before E except after C"

What? That's what I did, see? :p
It is kind of sad how long it took me to figure out that you were were refering to the "except after C" part, not the "I before E" part. Less than a minute, but still...

I thought Stantler used its antlers to scare Pokemon! Isn't that why one of it's abilities is intimidate?

It does get intimidate, but it is canon that Stantler's antlers have magical hypnotic/portal powers too.

I like the variation also.
