After so many days of waiting, it's finally here! The day that I've been waiting for! The day me and my best buddy, Nick, get to leave this tiny place and set out for an adventure! Got to check my stuff before leaving though. Bag, check. Pokegear, check. Hat, check. Now, time to go and get Nick, hopefully he's already woken up.

"Nick, speed up you slowpoke!" I yelled to my sleepy friend as he lumbered along. We were already 10 minutes late because of his silly antics, and I didn't want to make the Professor wait for us. The professor had came to Neo Bay for a few months now, and she had happily agreed to giving us both our first Pokemon.

"Hello, Professor," I said as I entered her laboratory. "Hello Andi! It's about time you arrived, you were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago!" Said the Professor. As I said my apologies for being late, Nick finally arrived at the door. She brought us into a room and asked us to pick which Pokemon we wanted. After we both had picked our pokemon, we said our thanks to the Professor and left.

"Hey Nick, want to battle?" I asked my buddy in front of the Professor's boat. I took his nodding as a yes, and we both sent out our Pokemon for battle.

The two Pokemon came out and promptly began snuggling and holding hands. Will you stand for this!?

"Venap, use pound!"

Venap stared at you, as if to say, "Why on earth would I do that?" Celsinge, on the other hand, was quick to obey her trainer's commands. She quickly dragged her claws through Venap's grassy skin and attempted to jump away. Venap had fast reflexes: he grabbed her leg with one arm before pounding on her with the other. He finally let Celsinge go, disappointed that she would be so mean to him.

As Celsinge dragged her sharp claws through Venap's mossy exterior, Venap bashed Celsinge on the head.

Although it was pretty obvious that my Venap was leading this match, I was getting kind of worried that Celsinge might strike my Venap with a critical hit, so I ordered Venap to pound it into the water.

"Venap, pound that Celsinge into the water!"

The two Pokemon hit each other reluctantly. Celsinge could only manage a few dainty scratches. Venap practically let his body fall on top of Celsinge rather than using any real force. They were both getting tired though, so the damage was the same.

The two go at it again, their energy draining rapidly. Venap wished he could just relax, take in the sunshine, and Celsinge craved a little beef stew. Or just beef. Any meat would be acceptable, really.

Venap, try to pound that thing again, but dodge it first.

Venap did his best to scurry away, but Celsinge was fast enough to catch him despite being her exhaustion. The two Pokemon collided and rolled into a wall, weakly thrashing at each other as they did.

Venap, use all of your power and attack first! You can do it!

Venap did his best to hurry forward, but the combination of exhaustion and clumsiness made it impossible to outrun his quadruped opponent. Celsinge, also exhausted, managed to scratch her claws across Venap, causing him to faint.

When Venap awakens, he feels stronger from the battling practice. Venap is now level 6!
