I thought I should try at least one piece of concept art to see how much people like/hate it.

Holy... AWESOMENES!!! The only thing wrong with it is the left side where he bends his tail cis a little stiff. Try rounding it more.

Simple, but pretty effective.

Your outline is very nice and clean, which is great, and the expression is cute. The scales seem a little tacked on (not that I blame you, since covering the whole thing with scales would have been hard too) and best of all, you saved in png! There are a couple of hiccups in the outlining, mainly everywhere it curves sharply. Also, you may want to try using the brush tool instead of the pencil tool (which is difficult if you're using paint...) because zero tends to like anti-aliasing on the concept art we use (because it looks smoother), but it's a very good first attempt.

It's good, aside from the faults that have been pointed out. Even more so if it was your first time making artwork like that on the computer.

Awesome Chloreon! Atlaxa is a bit confusing, though. Which way should it's body be facing?

Atlaxa's body is facing forward. It's holding its head backwards, and we're looking at its back.

I like them all: neat, cute, simple, creative, and pretty effective. There's something about Chloreon's head shape that seems too ellipsoidal. You could make it less elongated or change the shape a bit. Also you'd think that one of the back legs would be coming from behind the body.
