Edit: At first I thought of Marowak because it was living then died (Red and green). But the other lines don't seem to fit

no. Its kyurem. Reshiram and Zekrom are both halves of kyurem, and kyurem is the empty carcass which used to be both of them. Arceus probably ressurected him, but at any rate, I said it would be fairly philosophical.

Gengar's a ghost, but it's possible that he might not see himself that way. This part capitalizes on that.
Okay, I admit I've been up to some nefarious things recently.
This was probably unnecessary - I forgot Gengar can't learn Nasty Plot. I personally think he should get it, though.
And my rivalry with that fire-breathing lunatic only intensified this year.
In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Ninetales (the "fire-breathing lunatic") puts a curse on a human (which later became Gengar)(at least that's how I thought it went, since I haven't played the game in years). And both of those Pokemon are now OU contenders in the competitive battling scene for the first time (and Ninetales can easily OHKO with Fire Blast).
Which Pokemon am I?

Because both have similar attributions to Pokemon from previous generations (Luvdisc and Tauros, respectively).

Despite the fact that we look similar- "It" looks like it's evolved form.

I'm not sure why, but Unova saddens me.- Could mean it learns fake tears in Unova or it is doomed because its typing is weak against most pokemon in Unova or there aren't any of its species in Unova.

I'l guess Mankey. Dunno why. Or Phione.

Right, sorry. I'll just give a clue that almost gives it away, if not completely gives it away.
The first line means that the Pokemon is a different type than the Pokemon it evolves into.
