It looks pretty cool.
If anyone feels like touching it up the best program to use for that is probably Flash CS3, if you have it. The smoothing effects and vectors will suit the style very well, though I'm not amazing at using it.

I turned this
into
Obviously it's not perfect, the outline around the body needs to be done and some shading touch up. There's also a few outlines that need to be done inside, like the left ear but still.
I was hoping to use this to help convert the sprites to different sizes but this program does a totally different thing from what I was thinking but I was still pleased with the result. I could use this to create some good vector art for the site design (no this isn't going in the Concept Art page as it isn't truly concept art).
I'm not sure if I have time to touch them up though so if anybody wants to do it, you're more than welcome to.

I can't differ the trunk and the leg thats near the trunk.
I just opened it to try and edit it because I want to use it but ugh I fail at line/pixel art. However, if you zoom in about 460%, you can see the color difference between the trunk and the leg.
Oh well, if anybody wants to volunteer to edit the vectored images, I can post a few more pngs of vectored sprite art.
Something easier people can do is just recolour the sprite's outline to be completely black, that way the outline will show when vectored up.
I managed to do this to Leoracles sprite in about 5 seconds with a different program.
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Wow, that looks insanely nice. What program was it?
InkScape
Sorry for the large pictures, I could just link from now on if needed.

The only problem with using programs like that is the messed up outlines. If someone did it then redrew the outlines and fixed whatever shading issues then it would come out looking pretty nice.
Inkscape's outlines aren't half bad, for me anyway. I don't quite think it quite captures the scale effect of the Goldrake and Arowana sprites though.
I like them, but I agree with IB about the scales. If the lines separating the scales were darker, that might make it better.
