I hate to say it, but I agree that it needs to look 'less busy'. You kinda have to lean up close and really look at it to see what the design is.

I also agree that a simple red/blue mix would be terribly boring so perhaps you can find a happy medium?

Resist Scarf is a masterpiece though!

lol, zero doesn't like agreeing with underlings.
This was just epic fail, but oh well.

These 2 on the other hand I think look pretty cool. I just shaded a normal ball, threw in some noise, then threw in some effects.

with all the effects though, it actually changed the color count to 180 something. I took that and was able to get it down to 8! Big change.

I like the effect you got on the last two, but they don't look like "Rivalry Orb" to me. I feel that Rivalry Orb needs to symbolize a fight or some kind of struggle.

    Some more:

Calopa Berry, based off of those cantaloupe "melon balls" but organicized into a berry. (I didn't want to basically copy Watmel)

I don't like this one nearly as much, but maybe someone can take the design and improve upon it. Twilight Crest:

Wow, that concept for the Twilight Crest is hot. I don't think there is anything wrong with the amulet itself, just the strings.

I'm not sure if possible, but the moon looks SLIGHTLY crunched, maybe put the ends a pixel or 2 for both. Its scary how noticably that could change it. Other than that and the string though, its hot!

Something about the amulet's shape bothers me. I know what you're trying to go for, but to me it looks more like a slice of blue melon.

Also, if Rivalry Orb's concept proves to be too hard, we can probably change it to something other than an orb, like a Plate or Ring, perhaps.

Question, how would Seviper hold an orb? I go with a ring for that reason (ring fits around both, orbs =/= can be held by Seviper.)

how does a magikarp hold an orb? It still can. Its just one of those weird things.
I'm sorry IB, I'm just not a fan of your berry. (A pinkish recolor with a brown edge would change my mind, I think)

Yah, I thought it was just my eyes, but I guess not
that being said...this is still really good, IB, just a recolor might look better. can you see what I mean? By the way...Idk why, but totally serious, your berry reminds me of Venap

You made a berry using colours you picked and thought an all black (big no-no) outline was just your eyes? O.o Also, true though your Magikarp statement is, this is designed for to specific pokemon. It should make sense for at least them.

A ring is perfectly fine too, I don't think anyone's overly attached to it being an orb.

What I don't like about your berry, Quinn, is that it looks inside out. It looks bevelled. Why don't you try recolouring mine? I don't quite see what you mean about the colours.

I like the berry IB made but if you think it'd look better with other colors then go ahead and recolor it.

As for the bike, it's a good start but I think the features are too 'mashed together' (for lack of a better phrase) because of the angle. I think it should be redone to have the features properly proportionate instead of angling it for the dimensional depth.

oh, not like that. Take your old one and just lower the gray down, and do a quick hit of hue saturation with the purple.

Edit: Loving the new edit, 2nd one. Its got my vote down.

    It's the right size, 24x24.
    Also, I didn't scratch it, I used IB's as a base.

Default Who wants to look at my balls!?!

Does anyone wanna look at my balls? I've got lots of em. Enough to go around.

There are other items in that zip as well.

When I suggested about DP/HGSS balls a while back ago, no one was against it, so their in there as well, along with the dune ball of Mewlover.

I think we want our pokeballs to be scratch sprited, or at the very least splices/recolors.

Most offical ones are just recolours. I remeber making a nice Dune ball by recolouring a Safari ball. The execption are pokeballs with added stuff which, IIRC, is just added on to the pokeball base.

Our pokeballs should stay in the same position like thing as the officials though. Mewlovers is a great example of what I think should go down.

I don't think Diamond Dust should be a recolour.Thorn Plant looks fairly cool as does Arctic Stone, and I like the balls.

Laser Lens looks fine but doesn't represent the concept well enough for me. I don't think you should have the tacky beam there and I would imagine that the lens would be a good deal thinner.

Toxic Slime looks a bit too much like moss. The problem probably is that it holds its shape too well, and has too much of a leaf-green colouring.

It's hard to judge the herbs but maybe try making them simpler and cleaner?

    Here's Berry Smoothie

This was more of a pain to do than I thought it would be. Glass is pretty difficult to pull off and that umbrella just wasn't cooperating.

Unfortunately there`s nothing I can do about the straw. It`s going to look weird simply because of how small the sprite is.

Contrary to what most spriting guides say, that doesn`t work. It`s very mathematically correct but generally ends up in a very jagged looking line. It especially doesn`t work here because of the obstructive glass and smoothie that can extend and flatten the straw at points if patterned as such.
