    Somewhere here.

The last one on the first post. Although IB apparently edited it 2 days ago, so it could have been added then.

I'm kidding. Don't tear my head off. It is a lot easier to use when it is on. Much, much easier.

Yeah somehow when zero moved the list a few items didn't move with him. Berry Smoothie and X Special Defense were left out. I keep on getting the feeling I missed one more but I can't remember it for the life of me.

Just a simple recolour of the toxic slime, I believe that the shape of it was fine but it looks better in purple. I apologise for the lack of transparency.

I also had a go at the vine ball, I thought it needed to actually convey vines so I used a light tan (like a dirtish colour) for the top, but I think it might be too light? Once again an apology for the lack of transparency.

The toxic slime is too dark now, it's really difficult to make out the lines. Thanks for trying!

It does look really cool, but it is a bit too dark for a pokemon item.

Here's a solar ball sprite -I think it's a little "off" :/ It didn't come out as I imagined it...

I would've expected a lot more yellow and orange as opposed to red for the solar ball.

What about this? I got your point that it should be more "Orange and yellow"

I don't see why the lines are needed? I'm thinking a more specialist looking ball for the solar ball, like how the great balls and that look, but then I think just a pure yellow one might look really good as well :/ What do you lot think?

I like it! It might look cool if the orange parts didn't pop out, but I'm not sure.

I like Betatmw's Solar Ball. I'm pretty sure the Ultra Ball also had protruding edges and it even makes it looks a little better I think. Great job!

I think the lines were supposed to be solar flares of something.

I wasn't sure if they did that before or not in the games. I know that, in the TV series at least, there were protruding spots on the Great and Master balls...

I just remembered! In the games, the net ball, apricot balls had that stuff too.

I origionally had an idea for if it was flat, but I forgot what it was... It was definitly related to the Sun, at least.

    Well that's helpful :/
For the dune ball why not take a safari ball and recolour it? I did one but it was lost on the old forums. I'd do it again but don't have time ATM.

Was thinking either Thorny Plant or Jagged Herb? (Finally one which wasn't just a recolour!)

Not bad, certainly have seen plants like that IRL. Yes, it'll do well for Jagged Herb. Great job Betatmw!

Thankyou! Doesn't seem to be many more item sprites left to do, just finding inspiration for each one. Also tried the Rocket Ball but it was way to hard to get the 'R' onto it so I gave up.

Yeah, so I'm sorry for my relative inactivity lately (never thought I'd be the one to say this) and though parties and Phoenix Wright are decent excuses they don't really make up for it, so here's a little gift:

Spungy Herb, interpreted somehow... It's not perfect but the item now has a sprite!

Well it does look Spungy! I think that hole on the top left could be a bit smaller though.

I like the jagged herb. The spungy herb looks good, but maybe the leaf could be spread back a bit more, so that it doesn't fade in to the spungy part?

I am wondering what items have been done already?

So I tried making a vine ball, the second pokeball I have ever made. XD Since i have found Pokemon Topaz, I have a desire to sprite so I tried doing this.

A good attempt, though a little more detail is necessary.

If you look here you'll find all the certain items sprites.

Yes, sprites are like Impressionist painting, and the smaller the sprite, the more of an Impressionist you need to be. Don't worry about clear-cut details and specificity, just work on a feel and run with that. For instance, you may want to make the vines more obvious, by thickening them and giving them body. And you could make your leaves protrude from the Pokeball instead of confining yourself to the ball's sphere itself. Therein lies the "art" part of spriting.

Made some edits to the Toxic slime, i don't know what else needs to be done though.

I made two slightly different edits, if you like either of them.

While the colours are nice, one of the things that was brought up during Toxic Slime's development is how a Pokemon would actually hold Toxic Slime. I always imagined a vial but if you could make a compelling argument for how it is already that'd work too.

well, the right side is more rounded, while the other side is sort of dripping-esque. You know what, if it was rotated so the right side is facing up, i could see the pokemon holding it, and some dripping between it's fingers, that way, when the opponent hits them, they could maybe put their hand up to block, and it would splash onto the opponent's skin, or something. A vial wouldn't work, unless you were going to throw it at the opponent with fling or something. I don't think i have the skill to bring that idea to fruition, so if you or Reli wants to attempt it, I'm game.

If you need ideas I've always thought of Shrapnel as scrap metal, kind like when you crumple up a pop can and then stab at it with scissors.

IB, why would a sane Trainer have their Pokemon carry that around?

Then again, that would also apply to the Sticky Barb and Black Sludge...

How does that create a layer of spikes around the opponent? But thanks, at least now I can imagine it.

Well shrapnel is generally just shattered glass/metal, so a layer of spikes makes sense.
