VENONAT is unusual among butterfly and moth type POKEMON in that it does not have a cocoon phase. Instead, it buries holes in the ground, and emerges with its wings fully formed.

It's great, but I'm not voting until there's another option.

    I'm with BTG, that's a bit dull.

VENONAT's hair retains body heat and protects VENONAT it from the falling temperatures at night. This allows VENONAT to conserve energy it would normally use to warm itself to find food.

Yes, I like the concept. Though it's a tad long.

VENONAT's hair retains body heat and protects it from the falling temperatures at night. Energy it would normally use to warm itself VENONAT uses to find food.

    Edit serves both purposes.

Two more votes are needed to pass this (or one, if IB is a yes).

VENONAT's hair retains body heat and protects it from the falling temperatures at night. This allows VENONAT to devote energy to finding food rather than to warming itself.

I thought sentance 2's structuring was a little strange. If no one else prefers this, I'll make the last vote for Reli's edit.

Or actually the second VENONAT seems entirely unnecessary:

VENONAT's hair retains body heat and protects it from the falling temperatures at night. This allows it to devote energy to finding food rather than to warming itself.

    That seems about enough:

Venonat: VENONAT's hair retains body heat and protects it from the falling temperatures at night. This allows it to devote energy to finding food rather than to warming itself.
