Alright I'll start looking at interior designs from canon to get the idea
Any complete list of houses that are needed?

Neo Bay interiors (Your house, Bradley's house), Cranewing interiors (Just a couple of houses and such) would be nice.
Try to keep the style consistent within towns. So if one house in Neo Bay uses green carpet, then so should the rest etc. There's usually multiple colours for bookshelves and such too so keeping a colour scheme is a nice idea.

If you look at the Neo Bay map, then all of those except Willow's ship. If you look at Cranewing, then ignore the bank for now (I have no idea what to do with that unless Triple Triad card shop) and all of that except the gym.
Why not the gym? The map I made was just a basic outline, and hasn't been made with tiles yet. Or is there something I'm missing?
I think someone else was interested in mapping the gym? I was trying to disperse the workload a bit.
I'm having some trouble finding online examples of what the inside of the hero's house looked like in previous gens, which is making it hard to get started. I would just look on the actual game, but I don't have my GBA games at school with me. Also, I can't remember whether we are using RSE or FrLg sprites...could somebody remind me?

RSE I believe. I didn't know there was any real distinction between the 2, to be honest. Then again, I never got to play FRLG, so, -shrug-
Also, you could always check some emulators.
FRLG, if you're unsire just look at the ss anne on the tileset which our dear professor [s]hijacked[¿/s] mimiced.
Heh, bbcode failures.
anyway, that looks pretty good, Meek. One suggestion: you should name them in some way, so that way the coder(s) know which is which.
Heh, they have names but they are quite cryptic and only really have meaning to me. Besides, I think it's up to you guys which one you want to go with what building.

Why not just keep both, and use them as base house insides, and edit make an edited copy of one for the Player's home?
Isn't there normally a TV in the hero's house? It also seems like there are usually more decorations, like plants or something.
They both look good, they can at least be used as normal houses.

I'd love to comment on these but apparently the images have been removed? Maybe imageshack is failing, try uploading directly to the forums? (Attach the files)
I see them... What is that under the bed?
A drop bear... (now I'm thinking of a bear with sky attack O.o)
Or Pedourasang
@IB That's weird, they're showing up for everyone else
@BTG It's a control object used to cycle through rooms, sorry you shouldn't be able to see that haha

You're using the tileset I uploaded, right? Otherwise you should change because something seems a little off about the style (I ended up just needing to look at the images at imageshack instead). The rooms are also a little bare. Isn't there usually a table with a computer in each of the hero and rival's rooms? What about books, bookcases, a random chair on the side. You want to fill the rooms, not have just barebones.
On a semi-related note, does anyone know how to edit the opening sequence of the game (including Oak's intro)? I haven't figured it out yet.
If not, I'll take the time to fiddle with it.
Link: http://pokemonessentials.wikia.com/wiki/Game_intro
Summary: The openning video/intro sequence seems to be controlled by pbCallTitle, with a script similar to
Where 'intro1' is a png file in the "Graphics/Titles" folder. I'm assuming the square brackets indicate an array. Add more names to the array (['intro1','anotherimage','image3']) to the array to call more images that will be shown in order.Code:return Scene_Intro.new(['intro1'], 'splash')
The title screen is just splash.png in the "Graphics/Titles" folder.
Aaand, Willow's intro is governed by an event placed in the "Intro" map (if I remember right, this map was just entirely black).
Is that what you were looking for?
Sounds about right. Damn I really should read more.
Thanks
Lol, professional spamming X 9.
EDIT BY IB: Taken care of, thanks.
