The results should be out now. Also, does anyone feel like the forums are kind of......... dead?
Topaz is like the sea. The tides rise and fall, but it is still there, strong as ever. And one day...
I don't know. Finish the metaphor yourself. The point is, everyone's got their stuff going on. The only way to speed up our creative process is to create more.
Also, the sprites are due today (although I won't be able to participate this time). The results will come eventually.
Yeah I tend to reply to nearly every topic/relevant post so every post you make actually counts as two for the most part! Topaz isn't dead.
I am at the moment, though. (ASMing plays is a pretty huge time commitment :/ I kind of regret taking on the job)
Indeed? I was just argueing because I hadn't submitted mine yet due to internet problems ¬_¬
I'm so sorry. I just clamoured out of hell that was all of those essays.
Winner: Cranky Guy (Gurdur/Tornadus (Therian))
(8/10)
This round was really difficult to decide, but Cranky gets the win just for the difficulty level of the Pokemon he chose. I like to reward bravery. Making Gurdur seem even remotely bird-like is impressive, and this sprite works decently well. I would have liked to see some custom shading, especially on the body so that it flows better with the Torunadus parts.
Joint Second: Black Temple Guardian (Vanillite/Vicinti)
(7.8/10)
Normally I wouldn't appreciate the Digimon reference, but this was done well enough, and I asked for creativity, that it was hard to judge it poorly. You took simple Pokemon and worked them together cleanly, which was an intelligent route to go. Just because something is simple doesn't mean it isn't good.
Joint Second: Tyrannigon64 (Krookodile/Seismatoad)
(7.8/10)
You Pokemon choice was extremely intelligent, both have similar size and boy positions, making them easy to mix. And it looks very clean. I would encourage you to take more risk and try something slightly out of your comfort zone next time. You have the skills to put things together well.

Topaz Mix Challenge
This round you must mix at least two Toapz Pokemon together. When I say Topaz, I mean non-canon. You MAY use canon Pokemon that are part of the Caldera/Kirant Pokedex, but you must still have two non-canon ones.
You will be judged on:
-Cleaness/neatness/flow
-Creativity
-Risk-taking
The round ends on December 31st.
There's a lot of quadrupeds in Topaz. My challenge would be a cloud or fish mix =)
When does the round end?
Teh deadline is tomorrow! Has everyone managed to finish in time?
Before I say anything, I want you to know I saw you click that unread posts bytton, see my name and think "He must be b*tching about late results again." .
And you are right! Congratulations! (Not intended to anger anyone, trolololo)
Sorry but I've just been reeeeaaaaallly busy. As in really busy.
Any results?
