Chapter 1: Bulls on Parade

I woke up today ready to start my Pokemon Journey through the newly discovered regions of Caldera and Kirant. The local professor of Neo Bay gave me my very first partner Pokemon. I chose Celsinge, and needed to test my abilities in combat, so I approached another first day trainer named Matt. he accepted my challenge and we were ready to begin our Pokemon journeys....

Matt was more than happy to begin a fight. It would be just like all those amazing champions from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova he'd seen on TV! Yep, you would be his first step onto beating all of Caldera/Kirant's gym leaders and maybe secure his spot on the Elite Four. All he had to do was to beat you first. Go Pokeball! He tossed it out in between the two of you and out came a small porpoise.

Use Scratch attack Celsinge!

Echoise sped past Celsinge, more than eager to show off its skills and superior speed. The problem is, he sped past Celsinge... and failed to hit. Celsinge, on the other hand, had a much more reliable attack, and landed some minor blows on the little porpoise.

Use another scratch attack on that Echoise!

Echoise adjusted her course a little to the left this time, and wound up hitting Celsinge head-on. Celsinge curled around his attacker and slashed at her with his claws, dealing as much damage as he received.

Celsinge darted in, claws at the ready, easily slashing Echoise on the fin. Echoise dealt back a staggering Tackle that knocked Celsinge back.

Echoise kept up the assault, although the repeated knocks to the head were getting it dizzy. Bruised from all of the tackling, Celsinge still managed to come on top with a few nice scratches.

Gotta keep pushing through with Scratch attacks Celsinge.

Echoise continued smashing into Celsinge, but the battle was taking its toll on her strength. Celsinge took advantage of Echoise's moment of weakness and delivered yet another attack.

Celsinge was eager to take down its opponent, but Echoise still struggled for the upper hand. Even sorely injured, Echoise was able to gather speed and hit Celsinge with a flying tackle. In its final hour it also managed an astounding resilience, hanging on to a thread of consciousness even after Celsinge's retaliation.

Echoise knew that it was now or never. Her tail glowed, and she gathered all of her strength. Matt looked soulfully into her eyes. "You can do this," he whispered. Then she leaped! It was glorious, spirals of light careening everywhere. For a brief, exquisite moment, Celsinge resigned himself to his fate. There was too much beauty, too much grace in this attack. He stood still, blinked, and squeezed his eyes tight, trying to get the circular lightforms out of his eyes. It was too much. He began to feel fear. Echoise was headed for a... at the very last moment, the gashes in Echoise opened up. Shocked and in pain she was unable to execute the attack as she wanted, and Celsinge, weary but triumphant landed his last few blows on the poor little porpoise.
