Well that thing certainly looks like it is offensively based.

That's alotta hair. Pure dark eh? Don't think we have one of these in OU besides Umbreon (yeah Darkrai is uber). Would be cool to get an offensive Dark Pokemon.

Its gooooooood to get another dark type! If im not wrong, the smaller wolf is called zoroa and the one thats gonna get into the new movie is called Zoroark. Zoroa is an evil fox pokemon while Zoroark is a monster fox pokemon. They say that Zoroa is evil but Zoroark is not. Anyway im looking forward to the new pokemon!
I'm glad that dark is getting what looks to be a good ou pokemon.
I know right? I can't wait till they actually start talkin bout more, which might be in the next week to 2.
these r my sprites i made of zoroark and zorua http://i426.photobucket.com/albums/p...09/ZOROARK.png
Cool sprites. We actually do need some trainer sprites done. Wanna try your hand at that?
Wow yeah, those are actually pretty good, especially zorua
It might just be my eyes playing tricks on me but I might recognize parts of those sprites from others... anyway, while the sprites are decent your outlines still need work. They should be shaded just like you would shade the rest of the sprite and don't be afraid to use black sometimes.
I think they look pretty good.
Oh good looking, well thought out not-seeming-to-be-i-cba-so-i'll-just-reuse-this conecpts. Looks like someones thinking again!

I actually do hope they add some more types but the way things are looking for the series they aren't going to add any or at least none anytime soon (that we know of)...
personally i think they should add the light type and then add another to deal with time since they've been adding more pokes to that group for a while...
They might add new types to 'rock the boat'. I read somewhere that one of the developers said they wanted to take it in a new direction and push the envelope.
It seems to me that they tend to do that with every new generation. First was dark and steel types, then contests, now the physical/special split. It was always safe to say that the new game would have something special. I hope that it wont be something too gimmicky.
I have a feeling that it might, unfortunately.
yeah that's possible...
i do know 1 thing tho and that is that they've been working on this since before platinum was even completed over in Japan...
i read somewhere on the nintendo site (i believe but i dont remember may have been a magazine) that they were working on platinum and they said that they were working on the 5th gen games already...
so i know they've been working for a while but what i'm curious about is the name of the games...
what are they going to be???
Epic news here! Game titles have been revealed!
http://www.pokemon.co.jp/ The origional announcement.
‘Pokemon Black’ and ‘Pokemon White’ Announced as the 5th Generation Games! What all that japanese crap means.
"Pokemon White" could mean light types...
who knows...that being said, why black and white??? It is too general in my opinion. Also, why go back to colors?
DO U LIKE WATER????? then u like 75% of me.
Water type is the god of all. Johto will always be the best region ever (though topaz's Caldera & Kirant will be 2nd)
Perhaps they wanted something simpler? All of the jewels and metals have sounded regal and important. Maybe they want to reconnect with the simplicity that came with the first generation, before they started adding stuff.
I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but maybe the game will be self-contained: no old Pokemon at all, just the new ones. That's as close to basics as you can get.
if they do that, that wont get no-where near as many sales. Anyways, though I dont really like the names, has anyone else seen the screen shots in Coro Coro?

the full backsprites really appeal to me. Also, it appears that there are going to be cars in this game based off one of serebii's screenshots.
Full backsprites are cool, but really difficult to pull off. I wonder how they'll do legendaries.
It will be tough to fit everything, especially for battles between two large pokemon. On that shot, it doesn't look like there's gonna be a whole lot of room for the hp and exp bars.

See what I mean? It doesnt look like there is a lot of space over to the right of zoroark.

That might be a bit scrunched though... I guess they could make the fight button smaller, but when selecting a move, the choices would take up all the touch screen real estate.
their Japanese names are zorua[the dog] and zoroark[the werewolf] they will be in the new pokemon black and white don't belive me? go to serebii.net and see for yourself.
Yes, at least scanning the thread before posting is a good idea.
Nintendo need to learn from the phrase "Less is more". Seriously fucking allow this 5th gen shit. Another 100+ Pokemons we have to adapt our metagames against now and if they throw more types into it, that's just a piss take. I'm only just starting to bother with DP sets and stuff -_-
"We love the things we love for what they are." - Robert Frost, Hyla Brook
what if they made another type like a wind or air type??
be honest with me does that sound kidna stupid?
cuz i can kinda picture pokemon like the Jumpluff evolution line to have that as a secondary type i guess :/...
Air/Wind type is a cool idea but how would you differentiate it from the Flying type? It seems like it would be awfully redundant.
I don't care much about new types but I would like to see a couple be more balanced.
Water and Steel need a reduction in defensive efficiency, Poison needs a boost and Dragon is too overpowered offensively. Bug is actually good if they would just make some more decent Bug Pokemon.
Poison used to be SE on bug. I could see poison potentially being SE on water as well. I mean poison does contaminate it.
So if the names are "Black" and "White", what's the third? There is "RBY", "GSC", "RSE", "DPPt", and "BW?" Maybe Gray?
the dragons are highly defensive because of the legends about them...
remember it takes a lot to kill off dragons...
btw--the colors may mean a connected region to Kanto/Johto somewhere or just really close by...
but who knows we'll find out when they actually release info such as who the characters are, what the pokemon are, etc.

Anyone else notice the Pokemon Center was on the ground floor of a skyscraper? Or the ground vehicles? We've only seen two ground vehicles in the games ever (the RS moving truck and the truck in Vermillion). It appears that the technology present in Black and White may be slightly ahead of the previous generations. This either signifies a rather large time skip, or this new region is geographically far away from everything else.
Oh, and the entire game appears to be in the same perspective as the lighthouse balcony in HGSS... They better make the controls not feel retarded.
