In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Ninetales (the "fire-breathing lunatic") puts a curse on a human (which later became Gengar)(at least that's how I thought it went, since I haven't played the game in years). And both of those Pokemon are now OU contenders in the competitive battling scene for the first time (and Ninetales can easily OHKO with Fire Blast).

With those analyses, my guess is Krookodile. He is a bandit (like Aladdin). He isn't found in Relic Castle, unlike his prevos. He can scare his opponent with Intimidate, or he can have Moxie which boosts his power when he knocks out an opponent.
