Visiting grandparents Saturday, I won't be back until the 10th. I may be able to get on earlier, depending on airport wi-fi (saturday and the 9th), if my grandparents still have wi-fi (2nd half of trip), and, more importantly, if I have time. Probably won't try to get on, unless there is nothing to do. The times that I have nothing to do, ironically, tend to be in the first half of my trip, when I'm at my grandparents' house which does not have wifi. It does have one computer with no internet and, if I remember right, Windows 3.
I might be on today/tomarrow.

Busy Quinn! They say there is calm before the storm. That storm just happened. What happens again though you ask, another calm. And that is what I'm goin through. Here there will be calm, but in my real life that storm is still goin.

I'm really starting to talk bout my cabinet company, along with the fact that I'm working on getting a job, licence, along with school starting, and I'm gonna be making a Curio Cabinet (http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&biw=1024&bih=406&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=curio+hutch&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=), a dresser (http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&biw=1024&bih=406&tbs=isch:1&&sa=X&ei=OVRbTIvoH4GgsQPAqPncDQ&ved=0CCUQBSgA&q=dresser&spell=1), and a leaf table (http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&biw=1024&bih=406&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=leaf+table&aq=f&aqi=g7g-m3&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=) this year. These are all gonna be outta my own personal design, so I'll be drafting them all up. To add to that, I'll have my Skills USA tournaments, and my Social life. All of this is gonna make me "Disappear" lets per say. Along with the fact that lately, I've just been a bitch and am not getting along too well with everyone...I'm dissapearing from time to time. I will check here sometimes, though I mostly cant stay long. Edits will take time, so I will post all of my stuff (up to date tilesets, titlescreen, sprites, yeah) somewhere so while I'm busy, stuff can still go on.

^If you read that whole thing, I did spill the beans a bit on my "disappearing". I will say this though. When that Kraklaw's sprite is confirmed, you shiny creator people better bring hell against me. You dont wanna see me with 80 something plus shinies on my side, now do you ;)? That being said, I WILL bring hell back. I've got my eye on the prize!

I dont think this is the time or place to be saying this. As most of you know from my other post, I'm busy. I said until friday I would be able to be on here again. Time has struck. I know I'm definetly no "zeroality", but he isnt the only one that is leaving. Yes. The number one poster ( ;). Yep, 12-- posts ) is leaving. Forever though? Thats where I'm different. I will be comming back as much as I can. Knowing that though stuff from me is gonna be UBER slow. Thats why I'm going to be sending my "TOPAZ" file to my AWESOME new friend MLE, to the guy who started me off, RP, or to IB. I need to see which one could use it the most, and stuff though.
*In that folder will be EVERYTHING! All our sprites (old and new), all my trainers, the title screen, move animation stuff, maps, the HUGE tilesets etc.

I'm actually starting to see a possible path for me. Within my "game design" and "woodworking" dreams, they are starting to become possible. With that though comes more on my part as well.

This is goodbye for the time. If you see me online, it probably wont be for long. I'll find all times possible though.

Lol. Hope ya'll miss me. And at this ending, there is also new opportunities to many people. With my leaving, there will need to be a new mapper...(hopes BTG and neon can help me)

This might be just a game to some, but I actually have grown some emotion. Its sad right now. There is only 2 other games EVER I have had emotional growth on. That was my Silver and Gold, with my little bro. (before he was taken by his damn father. I WILL find my brother someday! That man can't hide him forever.)

Alright. This is it! Like I said, I'm not leaving forever, but my dreams and "wishes" are starting to become possible. With that, I have enter the darkness headstrong. Only then with enough work, I will be able to achieve.

I WILL be back someday. For all you know, sometime later in the year, I might come on and post a LOAD of stuff ;).

Sorry for the long absence, I just moved in to a new apartment with a bunch of college friends so it's been quite hectic for the past several weeks.

Just popping in to say that I probably won't be able to find much time for Topaz anymore, at least for this semester anyway. My schedule is overloaded, and I have responsibilities in two different clubs. Not to mention I'm trying to pursue several of my own personal interests. If and when I find motivation to do some Topaz work, I'll probably continue doing story development, and write some more character bios for the major characters. No promises, though. Other than that, expect to see less of me for the rest of the year.

I'm always happy to see people around, Topaz needs more of a community as is, we're kind of overly work-centred. It's an interesting take on a webforum since they're usually the opposite, but things like this really do require a balance.

What happened is, I got a virus on my computer yesterday. My dad told me that I can't go on my computer because of this. I can't access any of my files relating to Topaz. I went on a different computer, and while I was on it, I went on Pokemon Topaz, but my dad saw me and told me not to go on it. I asked why, and all he said was that he doesn't trust the website, and I didn't argue with him, because he's kind of scary when he's angry.

He didn't say I couldn't go on Youtube, though, because he said that it's impossible to get a virus from Youtube. I'm asking you, because you're the only person who I know has both a Youtube account and is on Pokemon Topaz. Thank you!

This seemed like the best place to say this. I haven't been really helping Topaz in the way of sprites recently, but that's because I've had a boatload of homework and projects recently, and that virus from before didn't help things. I still have said boatload of homework and projects, but once exams are done (for me, that's Jan 27), I will get back to helping with sprites and with whatever else I can do. For now, I'll just be commenting on other's work every so often.

I am not really sure if anyone knows/remembers me. I am from the old PokeRealm forum and have been really busy for the past few years. I was never "into" Topaz back in the day as I never really appreciated how much effort you guys put in. I was feeling very nostalgic and decided to check out this website. Logging on with my username and password didn't work, so I decided to register again. What's up with the "no. 385 pokemon" in the registration? Haha, I haven't played pokemon in ages and had to google that with my sh*t internet (hate you zeroality).

I am no good at graphics but if you guys need any help with programming or some other relatively basic things, feel free to drop a line. After a minute or two of checking the forum out, I have to say, I haven't really seen any familiar face until now; if someone I know is there with a different name, please let me know.

For about five months, I've been working with RPG Maker VX to make RPGs(no duh. D: ) for sites. My activity on the Topaz forums will be pretty low for the rest of March, most likely. I have a massively insane to-do list that I need to get whittled down first before I'll have enough free time to sit down and work with Ruby. Learning a programming language does require a bit of concentration and dedication, so I want to wait until I have the time to do it properly.

I plan on sprucing up the forums, and adding a few more things to the site, but I won't be posting much or anything unless there is something that warrants a response from me.

I will check the forums on a daily (or at least bi-daily) basis though, and will be reading every post.

I was lurking on the Pokemon Online forums and saw a link to the Topaz project in Zeroality's signature. I haven't had time yet to look into the finer details, but the main page told me that there's no one around to program. I'd like to help out!

I have been considering studying Ruby and this is the perfect opportunity to get started. I didn't see a sub forum for programming, but judging by the most recent state of topaz post the only code is missing. I'm downloading Ruby as I type this so I can start learning the subtleties. If there's a place to further discuss a plan and checklist for coding, could someone please direct me there?

Yeah, I'd suggest Topaz Graphics. Some of the graphics are somehow in Topaz Pokemon, though, so start in those places. Make sure you're referring to more recent posts, though. Also, I don't think the designs of the Pokemon can be changed at this point.

Actually one of the things we need done right now is filling out information for our Pokemon in a database file. Stuff like base stats, level up moves, learned moves, TM/HM moves, gender ratio, etc. All the juicy goodies that make up a full Pokedex of Pokemon.

The only skills needed are the ability to read and type. Let us know if you're interested in helping.

Other than that, nice to see you. As Pikang pointed out, Pokemon Topaz is not a ROM hack. It is a custom-made fan game that will be done in RPG Maker XP.

I found this customized Pokémon game from clicking on Zeroality's sig on the PO forums out of curiosity. From what I've seen, it looks like it's coming along smoothly.

While I don't have much skill in coding or graphics on the computer (I have some drawing ability, though), I have a somewhat good sense of balance and can help out with most of the elements of that Pokédex. :)

Yes I have returned after many months of (primarily forgetfulness and attempted projects).
I had only meant to be gone for only a couple of weeks but everytime i tried getting on here at the library the danged pc messed up and refused my logging in on this site.... (don't know why but i figured i'd try again today and huzzah i've succeeded!!!!)
now my pc's still dead but we've found the problem and are working on it---to the best of our abilities that is...
sadly half the projects i've been trying to work on have come to a grinding halt as i've stalled out without access to games and the stuff on my pc...

Hi everyone, my name is James. Right now I am 22 years old. I am a Junior Java Developer who will be graduating with a bachelors in computer science this coming May. I enjoy all things computer, and love learning new languages. Ruby is on my list of languages that I want to learn. It appears to be extremely similar to java, just harder to set up(not a big problem), and with oracle leading java down a twisty road ruby will probably grow in popularity very quickly.

I found this site because I am actually working on a pokemon game called pokemon university, that is just sort of for myself for fun. I searched for pokemon sprites, and guess whose website came up? Well, I am not going to use your sprites for my game(you don't have to worry), but I joined because I found interest in your project browsing your forums a little bit. I don't know about helping with your project right now. I am interested, but not sure if I can really put forth the time. I could probably help with the text file for sure, but I stink at art(it sounded like just putting down information on pokemon evolutions somehow for the text file?).

Another fact that you will probably find interesting about me is my senior project. I am programming something called RPG Designer. I will leave it up to you to find out what inspired my senior project.

I like to skii
I am from Colorado
I go to school in KS(strange I know)
My main OS is Linux, the only things I use Windows for are RPG Maker and FFVII.

Nice to meet you, HolyPhoenix/James! The pokemon.txt file is mainly just menial filling out of information from certain sources into the file that will be used in the game. You can help out with that if you like, just post on the topic. When you learn Ruby, then maybe you could help Konrad with programming some of the items and abilities in the game.

In other news:
Forgive me but as Chrismtas is upon us I must leave temporarily so that I may celebrate (and let the chaos die down into sanity) before coming back to work on things. Part of my family's coming down from NC to visit a little after christmas and it'll be fun to have to settle things down between Christmas and New Year's.

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's Everyone and I hope to make it out alive (which is likely).
