Hehe, I don't like to brag, but I've completely beaten every Mario Kart game since Mario Kart 64. I'm pretty good to say the least.

I think absolutely nothing will Happen on 2012. I think the Mayans said "Fuck it, we've already predicted about a couple thousand years ahead of ourselves, I think we're good" and just left it at that.

I haven't bothered to check that thread at all.

One of my biggest fears is being alive when the world ends. I seriously hope we don't all die in two years.

You know what's not cool? Was just playing LeafGreen, and realized that Cerulean Cave was unblocked. So I looked up a map on Serebii and got to the end before I realized that I had a lv100 Moltres, a lv41 Eevee, a lv26 Ninetails, a lv34 Charmeleon, a lv50 Blastoise, and an egg. None of these are really great for taking on a lv70 Mewtwo. x.x'

So I saved before I fought him, so I could keep trying. [Have a masterball, but want to save it for Raikou, as there's no guarantee I'll see him again, if I'm even lucky enough to see him once.] I accidentally beat Mewtwo a few times. Then I was about to battle him for the fourth time, and my GBA died. How great. Didn't find the stinking system until yesterday's mad-cleaning-rampage around my house, and then when I figure out I can catch Mewtwo, the game dies. How great.

Now... off to play LeafGreen on my DS and stop complaining about my luck.

So Facebook decides to be an idiot and makes me take this servay because it doesn't recognize the same 5 computers that I always use in order to access Facebook. The problem is, I have a lot of friends who all have random pictures of objects. Facebook shows me a picture, and I have to tell what friend that picture belongs to. One time it pulled up a picture of a leaf. Seriously? So... yeah.. now that that's out of my system.....

So... I finished my book/play adaptation. Then the teacher told me that I have to cut my 89 pages in half. x.x' [The book itself is 222, so I thought I was doing well, length-wise.] I've already cut about 20 pages through combining scenes and removing spaces in-between lines, but it's kind of frustrating. he had to set the scene, explain the characters list the characters and he cut it down to about 5/6 parts according to the story...

See, I've already reduced the font to 11 and taken out the spaces between blocks of lines. She told me I can't make the font any smaller. I've reduced the 89 to 69 by doing things like that, and combining a few scenes that I didn't realize were in the same place. I also have a few scenes that happen consecutively in different places that I've decided we'll just have half the stage be for one, half for the other, and the space in front of the stage for a third. Here's part of one of those scenes:


Scene 7
DESI’S PENTHOUSE/DEREK’S CAR/OLD BRICK BUILDING
One half of the stage is used for the Desi’s penthouse, while the other half is used for the old brick building. Use spotlights as necessary to differentiate between the two. Derek’s car is in front of the stage.
(The light is focused on the PENTHOUSE half of the room. DESI sits on her sofa. The phone rings, and DESI leans over and picks it up, answering it.)

DESI: Hello?
RAVENNA’S VOICE: Desi.
DESI: (Closes her eyes.) Ravenna. What’s going on?

(There is a pause.)

RAVENNA’S VOICE: I lost her. Again.
DESI: (Is visibly disappointed. After a moment, her eyes snap open. She speaks quickly and with conviction.) Rae. There was someone else in the room when–when–it happened. Derek thinks it… well, it might not have been all her fault.

(Another long pause.)

RAVENNA’S VOICE: Even if there was someone else there, how does that adjust the blame? We have proof, Desi. It was Lila.
DESI: (Frustrated sigh.) I know. I don’t get it, either. But I don’t think we should just… assume anything. We all know that things aren’t always as they seem.
RAVENNA’S VOICE: (Pauses.) I’ve got to go. I’ll call you when I find out more.
DESI: Rae, please don’t– (Realizes that RAVENNA is no longer on the other end of the phone. Slams the phone down on the sofa in irritation. Sinks down, laying her head down on the arm of the sofa.) I don’t know what to do. I don’t feel like there’s anything left to do. Not for me, anyway. It all rests on Derek, now. If Ravenna won’t listen to me… I can only pray that she’ll listen to him. He’s always been persuasive. If he tries, he can get what he wants. But at what cost? Derek would be putting himself in danger, as well as Lila. I’m going to be sick. I know it. Derek’s all I have left. I can’t let anything happen to him. But here I sit, powerless. Alone. This is worse than the guilt I felt after our parents’ deaths. And that was enough for a lifetime. (Soon, she falls asleep.)

Eventually, the set changes to the car, which will be in front of the stage. It then goes to the brick building, back to the car, and eventually back to the penthouse. [When I started, I think I had that as five separate scenes.]

Honestly, it's a "our leading man didn't memorize all of his lines last year, so we don't want there to be too many this time" thing, as well as a "we can only afford one backdrop" thing. I think we'll be fine if we just go with a solid color for the background. Preferably chrome, because everything in the future is chrome. 8-) [Thank you, Spongebob.] The six major characters are going to have to memorize like crazy, but in my opinion, that's part of being a lead.

yeah if the lead can't remember all of his lines either they need to change leads, make sure the lead memorizes it or find a way of cutting the play into smaller parts to work with...

I just got back from homecoming. My brother's alarm woke me up at 6:10, and I didn't really get to go back to sleep before mine went off at 6:45. The band marched in the parade around town, which was alright except for going uphill. x.x' We then dispersed, went home, and had to be back and in uniform by 6 to play the football game, which we had to stay for the duration of, even with the dance starting at 9. It had already started by the time everyone changed clothes, which I didn't think was wonderful. Nonetheless, I had an amazing time. Am extremely exhausted, though.

Some of my friends and I were standing outside the school, somehow on the topic of weapons. I was saying "I prefer lightsabers," but the "-abers" part got cut off when two girls charged through the middle of our group wielding (you guessed it) toy lightsabers. That sparks new ideas for my writing.

Something about a place where wishful actions (blowing out candles, eating folded chips) all make wishes come true, and people are forced to make wishes, because if they don't, they'd be silently wishing for annihilation. Or something. It made sense in context.

Since it's almost my birthday, I felt that I owed you guys a present. This is a short story I made. It's the final version, but I can still make changes. I guess that means that it is not really the final version, but right now it is.


The Zombie

Upon awaking, he slowly sat up on the metal tray. He felt groggy; unable to concentrate. He couldn’t even remember where he was or what he was doing there. He sat up and looked at his hands. They were a sickly, pale blue color. The skin resembled a wet, deteriorating paper bag. His clothing was not in much better condition.
He put his feet on the floor, feeling the cool tile on the bottoms of his feet. He tried to stand up, but stumbled, heard a cracking sound, and had to prop himself up using the metal tables. Looking around, he saw other sick-looking people doing the same thing. He looked at his feet, and saw the source of the cracking noise that he heard earlier. The big toe on his left foot had broken off. Either he hadn’t felt it, or he didn’t care, because he continued lumbering on towards the door, acting more on instinct than conscious decision. The other people in the room did the same.

Eminor looked out of the window, at the room full of his creations. He had finally done it; he had brought a human being back to life. Sure, the first few tests did not go well, but he had FINALLY found the solution. Not only that, but he had successfully brought back over a THOUSAND people. There were a few problems, but that was unavoidable. He couldn’t regenerate their muscle mass, there was a lot of nerve damage, both body and mind were weakened, and they were not exactly pleasant to look at, but his work was REVOLUTIONARY! NO ONE would make fun of him now! NO ONE could call his work crazy! NO ONE would call him crazy! ALL the years of DISRESPECT from his peers, and ALL THE YEARS of ISOLATION had finally paid off! He could finally PROVE that he wasn’t insane! With time, he had PERFECTED his lightning-powered machine. One bolt, he had calculated, could bring back almost TEN THOUSAND people. He could not afford to make that many tables, at least not yet. Now, Eminor had proven himself. Now, he had shown his worth. NOW, he could get the funding for his project that he so obviously DESERVED. With an appropriate budget, he could perfect the small…flaws in his design. Now, it was time to show the WORLD what he had done. The world, which had previously SCOFFED at his ideas, would finally see what he was capable of! He was tired of all the disrespect. He could finally show the world the GENIUS that is EMINOR ROMONO!


~ ~ ~

Eminor gazed out again over his creations. Some of them had not left their platform yet. It was likely that vital parts of their brains had deteriorated, so he could not bring them back.
He looked back towards the successful creations, those that he was able to save from death. Why are they doing that? He wondered. They had gathered by the door, and were trying to push it open. Eminor chuckled. They were trying to get out.
“All in good time,” he reassured them, although they could not have heard him through the glass. “But not yet. First, I have some things I need you to do.”
But they were extremely determined. The thick metal door creaked under their combined weight, and finally gave out. Those in front slowly stood, and led the way out the door. Many of the creatures left parts behind, those that were no longer attached well. Eminor stood, shocked at their combined force, and, having recovered from the shock, rushed for the door. Before he opened the door, he remembered something. The gas . The gas that Eminor had used to aid in the rebirth process was highly toxic. Anyone who came close to the subjects for too long would die in a matter of minutes from the fumes. He pulled on a pale blue gas mask, then threw open the door and chased after his creations.

In everyone’s rush to open the door, he lost the pinky and ring finger on his right hand. Still, he felt no pain. On his way out the door, he tripped over a leg, and, after checking to make sure that it was not his leg, pushed himself back onto his feet. He stumbled along, following the hundreds of other people that had left with him.
He caught up with the others quickly, moving back up with the group in front. Still feeling sluggish, the group stumbled slowly away from the building. They followed a dirt path, rain pouring on them, lightning illuminating the horizon. The crackle of thunder make it difficult to distinguish the screams of “STOP, STOP,” in the distance behind the group as they continued down the path, coming to a small park. He saw some dark figures gathering under the streetlamps, and the group levitated towards them.
“Hey, who are you?” The tallest figure asked. “Some kinda parade?”
The group continued towards the light.
“Hey-” the tallest one spoke again, as the group’s features began to become distinguishable. “You’re a bit late for Halloween, freaks!” His friends burst into laughter. It was the last thing they did, as they inhaled a fatal breath of the toxic gas.
The group continued on.

There was little that Eminor could do to stop his creations. They paid him no heed, even when he tackled them to the ground. They just stood back up and continued on their way.
He decided that the only thing that he could do was alert the authorities. However much he hated to admit it, it was his only option. He left his creations, far enough away to not risk inhaling the toxic gas, but close enough to keep an eye on them. He pulled off his gas mask so that he could speak easily. He dialed the number on his cell phone.
As soon as they picked up, he began. “Dead people,” he explained, “are invading the city”.
The person on the other end sighed, said, “Sure. I’m certain that they won’t cause any trouble,” and hung up.
Eminor sighed an equally frustrated sigh, pulled on his gas masked, and ran after the group.


~ ~ ~

Mary Holtmer was used to listening to prank 911 calls. What she could not understand was why people made them. Why would anyone be so stupid… she lost her train of thought when the phone rang again.
“Hello,” she began.
“They’re all dying!” the caller said. “these gross people are killing everyone!”
“You mean the dead people?” Mary asked.
“Yes, I guess you could call them that,” the caller replied, obviously stunned by Mary’s nonchalant response.
“Sorry, we are only authorized to arrest living people,” Mary said, then she hung up. I’m so glad my shift is almost over , she thought.

He still had no idea where the group was going. It seemed just to be crawling along a road going through the middle of the town. He tried to think of where he was, but could not concentrate. He decided to try to remember his name. It started, he decided after several minutes, with a pointy letter. Definitely not round. Maybe “W”? What names started with “W”? He considered it for a while, his brain working very slowly on the puzzle that he had given himself. The only one he could think of was Will. He must be Will.
“Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllll,” he groaned, content with the sound the name. Following his lead, others in the group began groaning with him.
Will looked around. People were staring at them. Maybe they think that we are a parade , Will thought, his mind struggling to reach his conclusion. As the group drew close to people, he noticed, they began to fall to the ground. They must be really tired , Will justified. “Goooooooood niiiiiiiighhhhht,” he wished them, the rest of the group following suit.
It was at that point that people began to scream. Where are they going? Will contemplated, only completing his thought long after the people were gone.


~ ~ ~

By the time Mary’s shift was over, she was completely infuriated. Dozens of people had called, all claiming that these “dead people” had invaded the city. Who , she wondered, has enough time on their hands to start a prank that big? She decided that some people just really need to get a life,.
She pulled on a coat and headed home as quickly as possible. She did not feel like putting up with anyone after her long day of work.
As she turned the corner, she saw a huge group of people about a block away. What is this , she wondered. Some kind of parade? She decided to take the long way home rather than push through the slow-moving crowd.
When she got home, she fell asleep immediately, unaware of the chaos occurring not even three miles away.

Eminor caught up with his creations again, after a short detour. He had decided that he needed someone who would trust him to help clean up the mess. As it just so happened, the only person who Eminor could call his friend could also help with his problem. In less than an hour, Eminor’s friend Jacob, the only person who did not consider him insane, had pulled a few strings with the media. As most people know, once the media fixates on a problem, that problem is going to be addressed.
Eminor pulled on his pale blue gas mask, and dove into the herd of his creations. He HAD to save at least one specimen. Otherwise, it would all be lost when the SWAT team arrived to eliminate the problem. Fortunately, Eminor had Jacob’s help in securing one of the creatures. Jacob pulled on Eminor’s spare gas mask, the same grayish-blue color as Eminor’s, and went to help.


~ ~ ~

By now, Will had figured out that something was wrong. Skin is definitely not supposed to be that color , Will had concluded. We must all be sick . What he couldn’t figure out was whether it was contagious or not. Then, he saw several strange-looking vehicles. There were a few people, all of them wearing black, standing behind the vehicles. They wore gas masks, and were holding guns. It must be contagious , Will thought when he saw the gas masks. He tried to quicken his pace, so that he could get to the people in black. They must be here to help us!

The SWAT team’s leader had already told his men what to do. “Kill all the blue people,” he had told them, “before they can kill anyone else.”
Now it was time. He was about to tell his team to open fire, but then something strange happened. One of the blue people began to walk faster, almost reaching a normal walking pace. He was coming straight towards them!
“Open fire!” yelled the SWAT team leader.


~ ~ ~

Will could not feel the bullets ripping through his flesh. He simply stumbled, slowing as he approached the people in black. By the time that he reached the row of vehicles, he was crawling. He grabbed the vest of one of the people wearing black.
“Help…us…” he moaned. It was the last thing he said.

“No!” Eminor screeched through the filters of his mask. They started too early! Gunshots rang through the air. Eminor and Jacob tried to drag the specimen into a side street. The bullets continued to fly. He looked down at his creation. It was limp in his hands. He looked at its face. There was a hole on its forehead. Eminor screeched again. Jacob looked down, and immediately dropped the twice-dead body. Both of them knew that it was not worth it. Eminor would just have to start again. They took off, doing their best not to get shot.

The SWAT leader pushed the dead blue person off of himself, and continued firing. He noticed two figures trying to escape. They were especially fast in comparison to the others, but they were a similar pale blue color. “Get the fast ones!” he yelled to his team. “Don’t let them escape!”
The last two blue people fell to the ground, riddled with bullets. One of them tried to pull itself to its feet, but a shot to the head from the SWAT leader fixed that problem.
“Good work, people,” he told his team. “Saved the day again.”

“After much investigation, we have finally found the person who successfully alerted us of the strange outbreak that occurred early last week. Her name is Mary Holtmer, and she tells us that she received numerous calls about ‘dead people’ invading the town. She apparently knew that no one else would take the calls seriously, so she investigated herself. That was pretty courageous of her, don’t you think, Bob?”
“Definitely, Sue. I don’t think I would have done it.”
“I know I wouldn’t have. Now, over to James, with the weather.”

Allegedly, the local newspaper has dubbed this "Snowmageddon", which I'm sure has been used all over the place. It just needs to stay at this level until the 18th, then I can leave here and get to the bubble of spring that is my hometown. XD They mysteriously never get any snow despite everyone around them getting dumped on.

Yeah, had to fire the pilot. Apparently he thought that there was a stowaway in the wing, and he has always been a bit trigger-happy on the C-4. NEVER waste my explosives. It is not a good choice.

There actually was a stowaway. Of course, he was in the other wing, and ended up the only person who got out uninjured. I think that he planned the explosion, because he was headed for Denali. He sent me a nice postcard with a moose on it. He was also kind enough to send a check for $5 to help pay for the repairs.

Also, I'm debating in the YouTube comments of an episode of Digimon against someone. Does anyone agree/want to debate against me with the following situation?

A Digimon named Wizardmon creates about ten or so copies of himself. They aren't real copies, sort of like the move Double Team is depicted in the Pokemon anime. Anyways, the main characters find out which one is the real one because the real one has a shadow and the copies do not. I say that this is not possible because anything that can be seen should have a shadow, because for an object to be seen, light has to reflect off of it. A shadow is the absence of light, which happens because it blocks the light from going through it. These copies can be seen and look exactly like the original, so light should be bouncing off of them so they can all be seen, therefore they should all make a shadow. The person I'm debating against says that there is no matter there for the light to bounce of, so it wouldn't create the shadow, similar to a mirage.

Again, anyone agree/oppose to what I have to say?

Well, I actually agree with your friend. It depends on the physics behind the thing, but if they are copies with no matter or substance then they shouldn't cast a shadow.

That depends, can you see through the hologram? You can't see through these copies, so light would not pass through them, and therefore, they should make a shadow.

Also, it wouldn't necessarily be semi-transparent, or not perceptibly so. They could also be like holograms, emitting light. If they ARE phisical beings, though, then they would have a shadow.

I said hallucinations, not illusions. A pheromone released in the air could cause four people to see things that aren't actually there, and since they look the same the brain can trick itself into seeing the clones doing the same thing as the original, sort of like double vision. And to account for being hit by attacks, the brain will send signals to the part of the body saying it's been hit by something, causing pain even though it hasn't actually been hit by anything.

I had a really strange dream last night. I was in a car with my mom, and then we drove off a cliff. The car turned upside-down as it fell, and then I felt an impact, although it seemed to happen to soon considering how far away the ground was. Right after that, I died. I didn't wake up, but I died. I don't know if my mom survived (probably not) because I'm dead. I remember thinking "Now what? Is there something I'm supposed to do, somewhere I'm supposed to go?" Also, while I was dead, all I saw was white, and some waves of light grey. After five to ten seconds of being dead, I woke up. I know dying in dreams is somewhat common, but has anyone else not woken up the second they die? If so, what did you see?

No way! A very good friend of mine is a top contender in FIRST, I think their team is called the Technoguards or something. Their robot is epic this year, it can like change it's center of gravity by going into a wide stance and shit like that.

So are you planning on being a bartender Reli? I always thought that it was a pretty interesting profession with all the people you meet honestly.

We built a robot that would complete this (http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/content.aspx?id=18762) task. It's about 3x4 feet, and the arm reaches about 6 feet tall. It our robot is not especially impressive, and it can only reach the second layer of pegs. The only reason we qualified was that we got one of the rookie team awards, and our buget may not support actually making the trip. I worked on the programming. Most of it was pre-made, but I helped custom-fit it to our robot. I don't have pictures of the robot, if that is what you are asking, but I might find some. Have you participated?

It is. Pretty much ever high school/university paper that I've ever written has to be submitted there in order for it to be marked. It's pretty good, but there are only so many ways to write things. Everyone ends up plagiarizing a couple percent in the end, no matter what.

During a freshman philosophy class, the professor told us one day before we wrote an essay about how he used some checking software/site on old essays. He found one of his students from 10 years previous had plagiarized a paper. He told us that meant he would have his credits for that class forfeited and his degree revoked. If his job had depended upon his degree, then he would've lost it.

Don't do it, it can come back to haunt you. I also know that two of my classmates during honors english, they bought a paper from a term paper site. They each turned it in and it turned out to be the exact same paper, and neither knew it.

The teacher put out an email to all students stating that everybody who cheated had to come forward and didn't say anything else. It ended up with both of them getting suspended for one or two semesters. One of them actually emailed the class too, and asked us to come forward and say we cheated out of protest or something. >_>

I found out it's a bit painful, granted my friends and I were using nerf swords, but in the park that we were doing this we went barefoot, cause the grass was effing awesome out there, and i found out why man invented shoes....

i wanna do more, we haven't fought in awhile but might do it when it gets warmer down here...

in other news we figured out one problem with my pc a couple months ago only to create another by accident....
my dad was looking at it and discovered that it was a bad powersupply which is good to know so now we can replace the broken part...
unfortunately i was stupid enough to ask him where the processor chip was hiding...
it was underneath the cooling tines and when he pulled it out, out came the chip with it. He said it got stuck there due to age not heat which was good, but as he was trying to put the stupid thing back in he accidentally bent one of the chips pins and made it utterly useless.
So I went to a nearby computer store to see if they had one to replace and to just do a price check on it and i got one for free, but only because no-one knows what the condition of it is
so now i need a power supply to test the chip and hope to goodness that i don't need to reinstall windows xp cause that's gonna suck majorly....
so yeah i'm through with my rambling updates here: i hope everyone will have a good christmas holiday this year :)

also yeah i had a laptop for a while but it's liek seriously outta freakin date (it ran 98se on a 95) and it's size was 4 gigs, i have 2 flash drives and an mp3 player larger than it is in space but smaller in overall physical size
it died though when i tried adjusting the screen and just watched it spiderweb from the top right corner across to the bottom left
it still works, i'd just need to hook it up to a monitor but the battery is dead, i accidentally killed the cd drive and just kinda sucks over all really...
(still got it but i've no idea why, lazy i guess, but i would love a brand new one, one with 7 [or maybe 8 kinda depends])

what's the speed of the processor chip?
my pc's got a freakin 2.40 ghz chip (at least it does now) it used to have a 2.20ghz chip but then it broke...
also if you have a drive that isn't the c drive u can stick things there and free up the c drive to speed things up
